Patchouli is a perennial herb of Labiatae, and it is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine with a long history in China. Huoxiang Zhengqi water, which is common in our daily life, is made from Huoxiang as raw material. Patchouli has many nutritional effects, its nutritional value is very high, and its planting area is also very large in our country. So how to grow patchouli? The following editor brings you the planting method of patchouli, let's have a look!

1. Soil preparation and sowing

When planting patchouli, we should first choose a sandy soil with integrated drainage and irrigation, easy to manage and fertile as a seedbed. Then ploughing the seedling bed and applying sufficient mature farm manure. Then open the ditch to make the bed, wet the border surface with the feces of mature people, and prepare to sow seeds. Mix well with plant ash or fine sand before sowing, and then sprinkle on the border. After sowing the seeds, cover the fertile soil after about one centimeter, build a small arch shed and cover a layer of film to keep warm and raise seedlings. When sowing, we should pay attention to control the sowing density, do not sow too densely, and avoid affecting the growth of each other after emergence.

2. Temperature management

When planting patchouli, we should pay attention to control the temperature, the temperature should be controlled at about 22 degrees. Generally, the seedlings can emerge in about half a month, and the emergence rate can reach 710. After emergence, the covered film will be removed. The suitable temperature for seedling growth is about 20-25 degrees. If it is the patchouli sown in spring that year, the leaf axils at the base of the plant will begin to branch when the plant grows to 12 cm and the main stem grows 5 pairs of leaves. After entering June, the temperature gradually increased, and patchouli began to grow vigorously.

3. Water and fertilizer management

The stems and leaves of patchouli can be used as medicine, and attention should be paid to maintaining a uniform proportion of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium when applying fertilizer. Topdressing is carried out for the first time when the seedlings grow to about 3 cm high. Apply about 2 kg per square meter, and then apply fertilizer when the seedlings grow to 10 cm, 18 cm and 28 cm, respectively. And every time after ploughing and weeding, fertilizer should be fertilized, mainly mature farm manure. Then do a good job of watering after fertilization, and stop topdressing after ridging in the field. In the case of drought, it is necessary to water in time to avoid drought and ensure the safety of seedlings, governor. During the rainy season, drainage should be done well to prevent stagnant water from causing rotten roots.

4. Weeding between seedlings

When the seedlings grow to three centimeters, we should pay attention to do a good job of seedlings, the main object is the seedlings that are too dense. To ensure that the seedlings have sufficient space for growth, can also be divided into seedlings, after the separation of seedlings to maintain a distance of about 7 cm. If it is to sow patchouli in a hole, then keep about three plants in each hole. If there is a lack of seedlings, then the replanting work should be carried out on a cloudy day. Weeding should be done about three times before the first harvest of patchouli, usually when the seedlings are 3 cm, 12 cm and 22 cm. Then the seedlings were harvested when the seedlings grew to 30 cm, and then the soil was cultivated for about 6 cm to protect the roots.

The above is a brief introduction to the planting method of patchouli. This is the end of today's introduction, this article is for reference only, I hope it can be helpful to everyone!
