The basin soil medium explains what is sandy soil, sandy loam, loam and clay respectively.
1. Sandy soil: soil dominated by sand particles. The sediment concentration can reach more than 85{bf}, while the fine soil content only accounts for less than 15{bf}, and various sizes of sand particles can be clearly seen. Sandy soil is ventilated and permeable to water, and the soil temperature rises rapidly in spring, which is suitable for germination and emergence. But keep fertility poor, easy to suffer drought, oneself nutrient is little, it is the soil that sends young seedling, do not send old seedling. Can be mixed with pond mud and other improvements, chemical fertilizer should not be applied more. The application of phosphate fertilizer and trace elements on sandy soil has good effect.
2, sandy loam: a soil containing more sand, containing less fine soil. Its sediment concentration can reach 55{bf}~85{bf}, generally wet can be spherical, but spherical uneven, such as rubbing it into a thumb thick strip, fragile into different sizes of soil, dry soil easy to crush. This kind of soil is loose, breathable and permeable, not sticky and hard, suitable for farming, but it is still poor in fertilizer and water retention, young seedlings, old seedlings and poor stamina. Sticky manure should be applied more when fertilizing. Fertilizer application should be based on the principle of "eat less and eat more", apply frequently and apply less to prevent fertilizer loss.
3. Loam: A soil with good soil properties and suitable sand clay content. Its characteristics are loose but not scattered, sticky but not hard, both breathable and permeable, but also water and fertilizer conservation, and high fertility, suitable for planting various plants. Artificial preparation of loam, available 20{bf} clay, 30{bf}~40{bf} silt, 300/0 ~ 400/0 sand, fully mixed. Because of clay, water conservation fertility is strong; because of sand, drainage is good; because of silt, there is a certain fertilizer efficiency.
4. Clay soil: soil with absolute dominance of fine soil content and little sediment concentration. The content of fine soil is more than 45 010, of which the sand particles with a particle size of 0.02 - 2 mm account for less than 35{bf}. Clay has high water and fertilizer retention capacity, contains more nutrients needed by plants, but has poor ventilation and water permeability, suitable for cultivating aquatic plants, etc., and other flowers need to be properly mixed with sand and applied with organic fertilizer for improvement.
