How to disinfect and clean frog ponds
Frog ponds always need to be disinfected from time to time, and each disinfection will be more important. But how to disinfect the whole frog pond? How can I clean it up? Let's learn how to disinfect the frog pond. Mud-shaped frog ponds only need to soak in disinfectant and change water. It is easy to operate, but the cement frog pond is different.
1. Soak the disinfectant
Soaking disinfectant is a very important thing, and its main goal is to eliminate germs in the water of frog ponds, where there are many more germs in the water than on the shore. The soaking disinfectant can be divided into two situations: if there are no frogs, you can choose a stronger agent like potassium permanganate, and then leave it idle for a period of time before breeding; if there are any frogs, choose a mild disinfectant, such as compound iodine. Soak time is about 1-2 hours, no matter how long the effect is just like that, the disinfectant should be evenly melted in the water, do not concentrate on pouring in one place, if there is no frog, you can consider stirring.
2. Release water from frog ponds
When the soaking time comes, you should first clean the water in the frog pond. when releasing the water, the medicinal mesh cloth should block the outlet, and the mesh should be larger to facilitate the discharge of some large particles and prevent frogs from running out at the same time. When there is only a little water left, you can clean it manually and drain it as clean as possible. Don't rush to take away the drainage net, wait until the last time the water is released.
3. Specific cleaning
When the disinfection is complete, the cleaning needs to be started, and the whole frog pond needs to be cleaned. First of all, remove the shelter such as asbestos tiles from the frog pond, then drive the frog to one side, then wash it with a brush, and brush the lower parts of the walls and the floor as much as possible. Then drive the frog to one side that has been washed, and then clean the other side, as long as you wash it once, there is no obvious residue. When washing, it is best to cooperate with the water flow, so that the cleaning is relatively clean, and then the water and residue are discharged together.
4. Points for attention
When the cleaning is complete, restore everything, then release the water and put the water to the original water level. Then take everything out and keep the frog pond as it used to be. Pay attention to the need to wash directly with water to the frog, which is very bad for frogs, if necessary, you can take a bucket of water and pour water along the place where there are more frogs, and let the water flow slowly through the frogs. Secondly, a few days after cleaning and disinfection, we should observe whether there is anything abnormal about the frogs in the frog pond, and if so, we should deal with them in time.
Cleaning the frog pool is actually relatively simple, regular cleaning is actually very good for frogs, and we don't have to worry about anything. The main thing is to know more about its advantages and disadvantages when choosing disinfectant, and the second is not to spray water directly on the frog.
