Raising sheep can't be joined as soon as your head gets hot. Preparation in advance is always necessary! If you are not prepared in the early stage, the later breeders will suffer a lot. The following are a few more basic factors that farmers must understand, so that they are not easy to lose when raising sheep, so let's learn about it together.

1. Feeding problem

Feeding problems include feed, feeding times and feeding quantity, which is the most basic. If you don't even know about feeding, this sheep must be at a loss. The plants of many crops can be fed, such as forage grass, corn straw, peanut seedlings, etc., dry or wet, as long as they are non-toxic plants can let sheep try to eat, seem to prefer what to eat, try not to feed the same kind of food for a long time. Generally speaking, the lamb is about 3 times a day, and the feeding time needs to be longer, so as to make sure that each sheep is full. If you grow up, it will be about 2 times, and you can make it full at night, which is conducive to gaining weight. The amount of feeding needs to be figured out by yourself, because it will vary greatly according to regional differences. The proportion of concentrate feed for raising sheep fluctuates about 10-30% of the total feed every day, and the larger the feed, the more it is fed.

2. Water source problem

The water source has a great influence on the sheep. In the case of insufficient water, the feed rate of the sheep is very high. When feeding dry material, the drinking pool of the sheepfold should put more water, and feed a little less at a time, so that the sheep will eat food and drink water over and over again. When the water and dry material are mixed, it is not easy for the sheep to hold up, which is good for the health of the sheep. When feeding fresh forage, you can let it be fed before drinking water, so that the sheep will chew the fresh forage several times to help the sheep absorb and digest. Sheep need less water in winter, but in order to maintain the sheep's body temperature, the water had better be warm water, so that the sheep can gain weight more easily. In summer, the water temperature is not fastidious, generally as long as it is fresh.

3. Estrous cycle

The estrus of sheep is a very important period of time, and many beginners may not understand it. In general, sheep will begin to be in estrus in about half a year, and the time of estrus will appear one after another within 2 months, and the length of estrus varies from 2 to 3 weeks. If the sheep bark frequently in a certain period of time, and its water gate is red and swollen and accompanied by the retention of some mucus, then it basically means that it is in estrus. Do not deliberately restrain the time of oestrus, this is the natural performance of sheep, we should seize the time to breed. In order to ensure the chance of success in mating, ewes had better breed more than 2 times, so that the probability of success will be significantly higher.

4. Pregnancy period

Sheep enter the pregnancy period after successful mating, which is called pregnant ewe. The time of pregnancy is generally about 5 months, so we must pay attention to the time, generally 3-4 months after the need to control the ewe, so that it can no longer easily run, in order to ensure that the baby sheep can be born safely. At this time, the initial diet of ewes did not change significantly, but farmers had better feed some highly nutritious food to ensure their overall nutritional needs. The forage had better be fresh, which is the most nutritious, and then some trace elements should be supplemented regularly. Concentrate feed can slowly increase feeding, so that newborn lambs will be healthier.

These are some things that you need to pay more attention to when raising sheep in the novice period, and other things that you can pay attention to can be improved slowly when raising sheep. There will be some differences in the process of raising sheep in each place. If you can figure out a more suitable one, you must follow your own, and the practice is the most accurate.
