After the Beginning of Autumn, the temperature in many areas gradually turned cool, and autumn is the season with high incidence of respiratory diseases in pig farms, most of which are infectious pleuropneumonia, mycoplasma pneumonia, pig lung disease and so on. Once these diseases occur, it is difficult to cure, and the recurrence rate is high, so how to prevent and cure pig respiratory diseases? Let's take a look.

I. harm

The mild condition of porcine aspiration disease causes growth stagnation, weight loss and low feed conversion rate, and seriously leads to reproductive disturbance and death of pigs, which seriously affects the benefit of raising pigs. The morbidity of pigs is about 30%, 70%, and the mortality rate is about 10%, 30%. It may even extend the time for pigs to come out of the pen by 10-30 fields, resulting in a decline in production performance, an increase in elimination rate, and a large number of deaths. Therefore, the prevention and control of pig respiratory diseases should be carried out again in autumn, and must not be neglected, which will eventually lead to a big mistake.

Second, clinical symptoms

Most pigs show elevated body temperature after suffering from respiratory diseases, which is an obvious symptom of most respiratory diseases, only one or two respiratory diseases do not show symptoms of fever. It will also show symptoms such as dyspnea, depression, loss of appetite, sneezing, frequent coughing, skin redness and congestion.

Third, the cause

Viral factors are the main causes of respiratory diseases in pigs, and other viral diseases will induce the disease; environmental factors can also induce the disease, such as too high concentration of harmful gases, or more dust in pig houses, etc. In the management, too dense breeding, temperature and humidity discomfort and transport stress will also induce the disease, the disease spreads quickly in the population, there is cross-transmission of sows, piglets, fat pigs and so on, so it is difficult to prevent and cure successfully and often occur repeatedly.

4. Preventive measures

First of all, it is necessary to maintain a suitable environment, with a large temperature difference between day and night in autumn, and to do a good job in the pig house environment, which can be humidified when the pig house is too dry, so as to reduce the stimulation of suspended particles in the air to the respiratory mucosa of pigs and induce the disease. Balanced nutrition is the best veterinary drug, different regions, different pigs and different feeding environment, pigs have different nutritional needs, so balanced nutrition is the basis of pig health. In addition, it is necessary to do a good job in the sanitary environment, keep the house dry, reduce temperature difference stress, disinfect regularly, and reduce the concentration of dust in the air. If the feeding density is reduced, the feeding density will affect the feeding and rest of pigs, and it is very easy to be infected with diseases. Vaccination is the basis of disease prevention in pigs, especially in swine fever, swine pseudorabies, porcine circovirus (type 2) and other diseases, as well as deworming.

The climate turns cool in autumn, pig farmers must pay attention to pig farm management, especially novice pig farmers, want to know more related knowledge, please pay attention to us.
