Peanuts are generally cultivated in sandy soil and need breathable soil environment, but peanut growth also needs water, in the case of insufficient natural water, it also needs to provide water artificially. So how to replenish water to peanuts, what kind of irrigation method to use, how to irrigate, can play the best role. Take the question to the following to find the answer.

1. Irrigation principles

Can not flood irrigation, even if the need for the most water in the flower and pod stage, watering should always maintain the air permeability of the soil, irrigation has always been less in the early stage, more in the middle stage, and less in the later stage. More irrigation is needed during the flowering period. In fact, different peanut varieties have different requirements for water. Water can not be too much, affect flowering, fertilization will be reduced, development will be affected.

2. Growth period

At this time, there is not much water consumption, that is, from sowing to seedling emergence, water consumption is very low, but the soil needs to be moist enough to maintain high humidity, so as to maintain good growth and development, but irrigation is necessary when the water content is too low. Usually pick up the soil into a mass, let go and spread out will be irrigated. If the mass is not loose after picking it up, it can not be irrigated.

3. Flowering stage

Flowering period, there are a large number of flower needles formed, the growth is relatively fast, stem and leaf growth is exuberant, daily transpiration increases, need to replenish a lot of water. When the flower needle begins to drop the needle, more water is needed after the pod is produced. This is the most water consumption when the use of drip irrigation, continuous supply of water, always keep the soil moist.

4. Irrigation method

Open ditches in the fields, open ditches at intervals, then plant in high ridges, and then put water into the ditches until the nearby ridge soil is wet, then drain the water. Using sprinkler irrigation, the sprinkler can be connected directly to the water pipe and sprayed evenly in turn. Drip irrigation, directly 20 cm with hose interval perforation of about 5 mm, laid in the field according to the row. These methods can be chosen according to water demand.

Peanut irrigation needs to choose the appropriate irrigation method according to the growth stage and water demand to fully irrigate, but the actual situation should be analyzed.
