Planting methods of Orchid Plant
Several aspects needing attention in orchid culture China has a long history of orchid culture, and our predecessors have accumulated rich experience in orchid culture for us. We should integrate the experience of our predecessors, absorb its essence, and have a deep understanding of: cultivation environment, planting materials, watering, fertilization, prevention and control of diseases and insect pests. It is the five major links of orchid cultivation and management.
1. The choice of environment is more important.
Huilan mainly grows under the shrubs of subtropical mountain forests and develops the growth habit of orchids that like half yin and half yang and like moist and breathable wind. As long as we master the growth law of orchids and provide or create conditions close to the growth environment of orchids, Chunlan Huilan is suitable for cultivation all over the country.
two。 The use of plant materials.
According to the local cultivation experience, as long as it is slightly acidic, no matter what kind of plant material (including soilless cultivation) can raise orchids well, the problem is that different plants should adopt different management methods. Flowerpot had better use tile mud pot or Yixing mud pot, because orchid is air root plant flowerpot breathable is very beneficial to orchid growth.
3. Rational watering is the key to raising orchids.
The water for watering orchids should be clean and slightly acidic, and should never be watered with germs. The method of watering should vary from plant to plant. The loose mud contains enough water, and the granular soil with stone-bearing volcanic stone absorbs enough water, but it does not accumulate water. After being watered once, the basin surface is dry and the plant material is about one centimeter to whiten. In order to improve the air temperature, spray the basin surface and increase the moisture of the plant material to keep the bluegrass and pseudo-bulb moist, and pour water when the whole basin is not dry.
4. Fertilization:
On the basis of mastering watering, in order to promote the growth of bluegrass, fertilization is becoming more and more important. Organic fertilizer, that is, farm manure, should be applied every ten days, and other inorganic fertilizers (chemical fertilizers) should be used according to the instructions. Foliar fertilizer can be applied outside the root during the growing period of orchids. Base fertilizer is also very important. when turning the basin and changing the soil, if the fertilizer does not come into contact with the orchid root, an appropriate amount of base fertilizer can be added. Too much fertilizer is easy to burn the orchid root and produce black spots. If fertilized properly, it can produce strong seedlings and blossom. The general requirement of fertilizing orchids is small amount, clear and thin, so as to apply thin fertilizer diligently.
5. Pest control:
Insect disease is easy to prevent, but bacterial disease is difficult to treat. if bluegrass finds shell insects and other pests, it can be sprayed according to instructions by oxidizing or killing enemies, preferably mixed use, 2-4 times a year. General mycosis can also be treated, such as black spots, can be used to kill, methyl debuzin, Baijuqing and other fungicides according to the instructions, the growth period 15-20 days regular cross treatment and preventive spray treatment, if found that Bailas soft rot (rotten cocci disease) it is an incurable disease in orchids can not be cured, once found and cleared in time. Therefore, when buying bluegrass, we must pay attention to the purchase of diseased grass at a lower price, thus affecting other valuable bluegrass.
At present, with the increase in demand for orchids at home and abroad, the trend of orchids is quite optimistic, especially the sky-high prices of fine goods, treasures and high-end products, so the potential market of orchids and orchids is very broad. there is still a lot of space and prospects for the development of orchids, so we must correctly face, adapt and adapt to this gratifying situation. Fully protect the increasingly depleted orchid resources, skillfully master the growth habits of national orchids, and make their own orchids grow better.
After careful selection, bluegrass should be put on the pot. Orchids are fleshy roots, and the drainage performance on the basin must be good. We should choose rotten leaf soil or mountain soil with more humus (commonly known as "orchid mud"-family flowers can be bought in a florist), and the pH value should be 5.5. 6.5. This kind of orchid mud can also be selected from the mountains to dig the rotten leaf soil on the sandstone and fire layer rock, or to prepare their own acidic culture soil. The mud transported from the mountain must first screen out impurities such as grass roots and stones, preferably those that have been stacked for 1-2 years, and sterilized in the sun before use. then put it in a cool place.
The time of putting on the basin (or turning the basin) is usually from March to April in spring or from October to November in autumn. Flowerpots with small mouth, deep pot, large bottom hole is better. The wild seedlings newly dug from the mountain should be planted in the tile basin (mud basin), so that the orchid mud is easy to dry and the ventilation is good. It is easy to root; purple sand basin or porcelain basin can be replaced after 2-3 years. The method of orchid planting (in the pot) is different from the general flowers, especially the famous orchids, the roots must be washed. Methods soak the roots in clean water, wash them gently with an old toothbrush or brush, do not hurt the roots too hard, cut off the residual leaves, yellow leaves, broken roots, black and rotten roots with scissors, and be careful not to hurt the buds. Then put the treated plants in a cool and ventilated place to dry, wait for the roots to be white and show small wrinkles soft, and then implanted in the basin.
The drainage of the basin bottom is also very fastidious, the mud basin is filled with broken tiles, and the purple sand basin must be covered with perforated nylon gauze. Before planting, cover the basin with coarse pebbles, accounting for about 2 to 5 of the basin depth, rough stone culture soil, 3 murine 5 cm thick, and then put in bluegrass. When putting on the basin, pay attention to the root to self-expand, not curl. When planting a famous species of bluegrass, be sure to put the old grass aside and the new grass in the center, so that there is room for new grass. When planting, hold the bluegrass in the left hand and add mud in the right hand (to prevent the soil from penetrating the heart of the leaves), and then lift the orchid plant slightly to make the roots stretch naturally. Then shake the basin while adding soil so that the soil is in close contact with the root. Then use your hands to press the soil around the stem, and finally make the basin slightly steamed bread (that is, slightly lower around the middle). It is covered with a layer of moss or fine pebbles, so that the basin soil is not easy to consolidate and can reduce water evaporation. After putting on the basin, water it immediately. There should be enough water for the first time. Finally, put the orchid basin in the shade. Within a month, it is not suitable to directly bask in the sun, and control watering, should not be too wet, and then choose the place where it is half-yin and half-yang, ventilated and breathable, and shine on the sun in the morning.
