Cultivation techniques of Edible Fungi and Lentinus edodes
Lentinus edodes is a very popular edible mushroom, and the market demand in our country is very large. Therefore, there are also many novice growers who want to start planting. So let's take a look at the cultivation techniques of Lentinus edodes:
1. Mushroom farm setting
The mushroom farm of Lentinus edodes should be set up in a place with leeward, sufficient light, abundant natural resources and abundant water. Then clean up the mushroom farm according to 70% shade, which is convenient for later management and improve the permeability of the site. Before inoculation, it is necessary to remove the dead leaves and branches in the site and the surrounding rotten matter, so as to avoid the excessive impact of miscellaneous bacteria and pests on the growth of Lentinus edodes. Then it is necessary to do a good job in land preparation, control the density and set up management channels. If there are not enough trees around and the shade is low, then it is necessary to build a shade. Finally, a layer of lime should be sprinkled on the ground to prevent the invasion of pests and bacteria.
2. Mushroom tree preparation
There are many 45 tree species that can be used to grow Lentinus edodes, mainly Fagaceae trees. Mushroom trees should not contain aromatic oils to prevent the growth of Lentinus edodes. The bark should not be too thin and too thick to ensure that it is close to the trunk, which can facilitate the control of temperature and humidity in the planting process and reduce the probability of miscellaneous bacteria invasion. It is necessary to ensure less heartwood and promote the decomposition of Lentinus edodes mycelium. The diameter of the mushroom tree is about 15 cm, and the age of the tree is more than 10 years. If the tree age is young, the time of Lentinus edodes will be ahead of time, and the meat of Lentinus edodes is thin, and the mushroom tree is easy to rot and deteriorate, which will have a great impact on the yield.
3. Timely vaccination
When Lentinus edodes is inoculated, the temperature should be controlled at about 10-15 degrees, and it is usually best in the south around March. First of all, we should control the row spacing and make a good inoculation hole on the mushroom tree. The adjacent inoculation holes should be controlled at a distance of about 6 cm from the cross section to improve the ability to prevent miscellaneous bacteria. The diameter and depth of the inoculation hole are controlled at about 15 mm. After hitting the inoculation point, it is necessary to vaccinate in time to prevent the water loss of the inoculation hole and the invasion of miscellaneous bacteria. Generally speaking, it is based on the principle of "call and pick up". After vaccination, you should seal the mouth of the inoculation hole with wax in time, or cover it with a piece of wood that is the same size as the vaccination hole, and knock it flat. Improve sealing, reduce water evaporation and promote the growth of Lentinus edodes.
4. Planting management
The mycelium after inoculation is broken, so the growth ability of the strain also decreases, and its adaptability will be insufficient. Therefore, in order to ensure the growth of Lentinus edodes and restore the growth of mycelium, we should do a good job of heat preservation and moisturization. If the bark of the mushroom tree is found to be warped, then it is necessary to strengthen the shading work, properly water to improve the moisturizing ability, and control the air humidity at about 65% and the temperature at about 20 degrees. And because of the number of layers, the temperature and humidity of each layer of mushroom trees are different, so we have to turn the pile every half a month or so to change the form reasonably according to the surrounding environment and weather to promote the growth of mycelium.
It is troublesome to grow Lentinus edodes. In the process of planting, we should also do a good job of shading, check the survival rate, prevent the invasion of diseases and insect pests and so on.
