How to maintain the magnolia in summer

The summer temperature is high, the sun is strong, if the maintenance is not proper, it is easy to cause the growth potential of Magnolia, such as small flowers, thin leaves, dull and other problems, the ornamental effect is poor. Summer maintenance and management of gentleman orchids should pay attention to the following points.

First, it is necessary to deal with high temperature and small temperature difference. Cymbidium likes warm and cool climate, and the suitable temperature for growth is 15 ℃ to 25 ℃. If the temperature exceeds 30 ℃, the leaves are thin and slender, the florescence is short and the color is light. If it is in a constant temperature for a long time, the respiration will be accelerated and the consumption will increase. Not only can it not grow well, but the leaves will become thinner, droop, dull, slow growth and other phenomena, affecting the arrow flowering. If you raise a gentleman orchid, you must pay attention to keeping the temperature difference day and night. But the temperature difference between day and night should not be too great. When the daytime temperature is high, the plant produces energy through photosynthesis; at night, the respiration of the plant is weak and the energy consumption is low, so the energy synthesis is greater than the energy consumption. On the contrary, if the temperature is high at night, the energy consumption of plant respiration is more, and the accumulation and storage of energy is less, which affects the growth and development of Cymbidium and leads to the phenomenon of thin leaves.

Second, do not light too strong or too weak. Gentleman orchid likes semi-overcast, the summer sun is strong, if you do not pay attention to shade to avoid direct strong light, the strong sun will burn the leaves. If the orchid is exposed to too weak light for a long time, it will grow slowly and the leaves will be thin. This is mainly due to weak light, inadequate photosynthesis and less nutrients accumulated. Therefore, the magnolia should be given some light in summer.

Third, do not lack nutrition. Usually do not pay attention to fertilization, do not change soil for a long time, long-term malnutrition, gentleman orchid growth will not be good. In order to make the leaves of Cymbidium hypertrophy, we should provide sufficient nutrients for Cymbidium through reasonable fertilization.

Fourth, avoid the rotting roots of gentleman orchids. Gentleman orchid requires a matrix that is fertile, loose and breathable. If the permeability of the soil used for planting flowers is not good, the watering interval is too short, the roots are deprived of oxygen for a long time, or the fertiliser-water fermentation is insufficient and the fertilizer-water is too thick, it will cause the rotten roots of Cymbidium, which is directly characterized by the appearance of yellow spots and then yellowing in a large area until the leaves fall off. After the rotten roots of Cymbidium, the new leaves stop growing, the old leaves wither and yellow rapidly from the bottom to the top, and the plants waver.

Pay attention to changing pots and soil. The growth of domestic Magnolia is weak, which may be related to not changing the basin and soil. Changing the basin and changing the soil can provide sufficient growth space and nutrients for the orchid. The general seedlings of Cymbidium need to change the basin every year, and those who are more than four years old need to change the basin once a year or two years. The basin should be changed in the spring and autumn season. Combined with changing pots, first of all, the original roots should be properly thinned and the old roots should be cut off; and the soil should be changed thoroughly and sufficient base fertilizer should be applied; at the same time, it is best to replace new pots or wash old pots to improve the air permeability of flowerpots.
