There is a flower friend reaction, every year to the gentleman orchid blooming season will be worried, why? It turns out that for several years in a row, his gentleman orchid is about to blossom, but the gentleman orchid scape is sandwiched in the leaves can not come out, looking at other people's blooming so well year after year, that is called envy! Have you ever been in such a situation? In fact, this phenomenon is called clip arrow, want the gentleman orchid not to clip arrow, these five points are the key!

Gentleman orchid sandwiched with arrow

1. The right temperature

The most suitable temperature for the growth of Cymbidium is 15 ℃ 25 ℃. If it is lower than 15 ℃, the plant will grow poorly, especially before the scape, if the temperature is less than 15 ℃, the scape will be difficult to extract. Therefore, before the orchid blossoms, it is necessary to often observe whether the bulb is protruding or not. Once the bulb is found to be protruding, it is possible to pull out the arrow. At this time, it is necessary to adjust the temperature in time to facilitate the extraction of the scape.

2. Suitable temperature difference

The growth habit of Cymbidium is to like the large temperature difference between day and night, if the temperature difference between day and night is small, so if the temperature difference is not enough, the organic matter in the orchid can not accumulate, making it difficult to extract. Therefore, before and after flower bud differentiation, the temperature should be controlled at 25 ℃ and the temperature difference between day and night should be kept at about 10 ℃. In this way, the gentleman orchid archery is relatively easy, otherwise there will be the phenomenon of arrow clip.

3. Timely fertilization

Another reason why the gentleman orchid caught the arrow is due to the lack of fertility. In autumn, Magnolia is in the reproductive growth period, and the amount of fertilizer required will become larger and larger. At this time, the wrong fertilization and insufficient fertility are very likely to affect the scape. For this reason, after the orchid has been cultivated for 3 years, it is necessary to increase the times of fertilization in autumn, it is best to apply liquid fertilizer with more phosphorus content, it is better to apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer alternately, and 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate foliar fertilizer can be added if necessary to form flower buds and bloom earlier.

4. Rational watering

When the orchid comes out of the arrow, if the plant is short of water, it will also hinder the growth of the scape, resulting in the entrapment of the arrow. Generally speaking, when the gentleman orchid draws the arrow, the water demand is large, should break the conventional watering method seen in the wet, appropriately increase the amount of water, keep the basin soil moist, and never let it dry before watering. Otherwise, the bulbs and leaves will hinder the normal physiological activities of the plants due to serious lack of water, resulting in arrows affecting flowering.

5. Control the bulb pressure.

For adult Cymbidium, when the vegetative growth of the plant changes to reproductive growth, we should always pay attention to the changes of the bulb. If the bulb is found to be protruding, it means that the flower arrow is developing. At this time, fertilizer should be stopped for 2 weeks, otherwise the leaf sheath and bulb will be harder and more stressful. If it is caused by excessive pressure on the bulb, you can use a sharp knife to cut open the leaf sheath holding the scape 1.5 cm to reduce the pressure on the sheath base and promote scape extraction.

Put the above 5 points in place, and you don't have to worry about whether your magnolia can produce beautiful flowers.
