Although winter is cold, it is an important season for edible fungi production in Yutian County. In such a season, the following technical problems should be paid attention to in order to produce high-quality edible fungi products.

Issues requiring attention include the following:

First, strengthen the mushroom shed to prevent the wind from overturning the roof and the blizzard from crushing the roof.

Second, there should be temperature rise and insulation measures. It is best to use fire wall heating to raise the temperature of mushroom shed to prevent freezing damage or even freezing of mushroom bud. The north wall of mushroom shed should be as thick as possible or add insulation material in the middle to prevent north wind. Greenhouse shed should use thick straw curtain or insulation blanket as much as possible to keep warm at night.

Third, strengthen ventilation management, because edible fungi mainly live by decomposing organic matter, oxygen is needed in the metabolic process, and carbon dioxide is released at the same time. The purpose of ventilation is to supplement the oxygen needed by edible fungi and discharge the carbon dioxide produced by their metabolism. Especially in the fruiting period, oxygen demand and carbon dioxide produced will increase. If ventilation is not carried out, it will cause mushroom deformity or even death. Specific measures are as follows: ① Open the vent hole at noon, but the premise is not to make the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the shed too large. ② When the outside temperature is above 5℃, open the plastic film below the south of the shed for about 10 cm, and the ventilation effect is very obvious.

Fourth, strengthen humidity control to ensure the moisture content of the culture material or bacteria stick and the relative humidity of the mushroom shed. It is best to hang several psychrometers in the mushroom shed to monitor the temperature and relative humidity of the air in the mushroom shed and maintain the normal value range.
