How to keep indoor flowers warm and frost-proof in winter, the minimum temperature requirements of different varieties are different, and there are great differences, so different maintenance measures should be carried out according to different regions and plant species.

I. temperature control

Epiphyllum is in the overwintering period, the room temperature is 10 ℃-15 ℃, the winter temperature of Magnolia, Hydrangea and Aloe is not less than 5 degrees, and the temperature of kumquat and chrysanthemum is about zero degrees.

2. Proper watering

After the beginning of winter, the growth of plants is basically stagnant, some plants enter the dormancy stage, the water absorption capacity is also greatly reduced, watering should not be too much, too large. Sufficient water should be poured at one time before entering the shed or room, and the basin soil should be kept slightly dry during the period in the shed, so as to facilitate the overwintering of foliage plants. When it is found that the basin soil is too dry, it should be watered at 11:00 on a warm and sunny day, and the amount of water should not be too large or watered in the morning or evening. The water temperature should be similar to the room temperature, and the temperature difference should not be too large. Foliage plants are usually watered once a month in winter, and too much is easy to cause root rot.

III. Ventilation

Plants in the shed or indoor winter, need a certain amount of air humidity, but not too high. Therefore, it is necessary to open doors and windows in sunny and warm days to adjust the air humidity, especially in the plastic shed, so we should pay more attention to ventilation. Ventilation is generally appropriate from 9 am to 3 pm. The light of foliage plants in winter is also very important. Some small flowers and plants often suffer from diseases and insect pests if they are often short of light, so they should often change their positions during overwintering to ensure that plants have a certain amount of light.
