Cultivation and Management of Magnolia
The propagation of Cymbidium is mainly ramet. Ramet can not only maintain the characteristics of the variety, but also the method is easy. The ramet time is better in spring and autumn, after seed collection and before flowering.
Ramet plants should have buds and roots. The ramet method can be broken by hand or cut by knife. Practice has proved that it is better to break hands. After breaking off the seed plant, smear the wound with plant ash to prevent decay. After the wound is dry, transplant it into the pot. Protect the root system during the operation. If the ramet has no root, it should be inserted into clean sand to promote the root before cultivation. All wounds must be smeared with plant ash to control moisture within one month after planting.
In the future, the application of fertilizer will gradually promote its growth and health. The cultivation site of Cymbidium should be ventilated, clean, and avoid smoke, hot sun and strong wind. The orchid has the so-called "love the rising sun, avoid the setting sun, like warmth, and fear the cold in the north." The cultivated soil must be loose, permeable, fertile and slightly acidic.
Watering can not be too frequent, once thoroughly watered, dry again. It is better to apply fertilizer with organic compound fertilizer such as rotten bean cake, sesame cake and rapeseed cake. Rinse the leaves with clean water after fertilization. The sun shines directly from May to September every year. Strengthening ventilation and protective measures can prevent diseases and insect pests.
