1. Time to change the basin

The pots are generally changed before and after the Qingming Festival and the Autumn Equinox, the buds grow after the Qingming Festival, and the flower buds grow after the Autumn Equinox. During these two times, orchids sprout and blossom, but it is generally not suitable to change pots in summer and winter.

Second, prepare to change the basin

Do not water 10 to 20 days before changing the basin, so that the soil of the basin is dry. The basin soil is wet and turned over, break and break the orchid root, the wound will rot. At the same time, wet soil paste false bulbs, it is difficult to see the new buds, orchids will wipe off the buds, flower buds.

Third, change the basin to take the soil

Use pieces of wood or bamboo to pry loose the soil on the edge of the basin, tilt the orchid basin to shake out the broken soil, and hold out the soil and orchids when the soil on the edge of the basin is basically shaken out. If the orchid root is more, pry the soil to stab the orchid root, break the basin and protect the orchid, do not pull the orchid out of the pot.

4. Pruning

Trim the roots and leaves after changing pots and taking out orchids. Cut off the dead roots and rotten leaves. Some Langen, fleshy layer dry off, leaving a root heart. Cut off the root heart that becomes black, and the white and yellow one is the living root heart, which should be retained to absorb water and support the orchid plant.

5. Put it back on the basin

To plant orchids into flowerpots, it is necessary to locate the direction of orchid growth. The new seedlings of orchids are on the side of strong seedlings, and strong seedlings are the direction of orchids. The orchid goes down the pot, the old seedling is slightly close to the edge of the basin, and the strong seedling is to the basin heart.

6. Orchid cover soil

After the direction of the lower pot of the orchid is determined, the soil is covered. Stabilize the orchid with one hand and grab the orchid with the other. When the soil cover to the upper part of the orchid root, gently lift the orchid plant, let the root stretch smoothly, and then cover the soil. Change the basin to control the water. Orchids are required to be dry before changing pots. After changing pots, they can not be watered immediately, nor should they be sprayed. Wait for a week before watering and spraying.
