But things went against one's wishes, dozens of pots of orchids were planted, some were covered with black spots, some were withered and yellow, and the orchids failed again and again. After a period of practice and reflection, I found that I lacked a scientific mind and no correct guidance in the way of thinking in the cultivation and management of orchids. From then on, under the guidance of materialist dialectics, I persisted in starting from reality and solved many problems encountered in orchids. Domestic orchids are blooming day by day, exuberant growth and fragrance overflowing with delight.

I. everything should be based on reality

The viewpoint of dialectical materialism tells us that existence determines consciousness and objectivity determines subjectivity. Both the way of thinking and the method of work must proceed from reality. Therefore, the skills of growing and managing orchids should also proceed from the objective facts.

It is important to learn orchid art, worship the elder Lan family as a teacher, and learn lessons from others with an open mind, but the most important thing is to combine reality and proceed from reality. There are many kinds of orchids, each of which has its own actual situation. The root system of Cymbidium is long, and it is suitable for planting high body and deep basin; the root system of Chunlan is short and thin, and the open pot can be selected; the orchid should apply more nitrogen fertilizer and the magnolia should apply less nitrogen fertilizer. Jianlan in Guangdong moved to Jiangsu and Zhejiang to breed, because the perennial temperature is relatively low, if the warming conditions are not created, it may not be able to blossom from May to October. Cymbidium can blossom normally in Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas with low temperature. If the seedlings of Cymbidium from Jiangsu and Zhejiang are planted in Guangdong, a lower temperature is needed for overwintering, and it is best to build a cold air with a temperature of about 5 ℃, otherwise the flower buds can not develop normally, the pedicels can not elongate, and the flowers can not bloom normally in spring. In the north, the climate is dry in spring, and orchids should be humidified by spraying water; in the south, Rain Water has more humidity in spring, so it is not suitable to spray water to increase humidity. Each species of orchid in the south and north has its own actual conditions, so it is impossible to copy other people's experience mechanically and learn to apply other people's experience. It must be combined with reality and adjust measures to local conditions, so that orchids will not make the mistakes of dogmatism and empiricism. Therefore, to select the methods and techniques of growing orchids, we must insist on proceeding from reality and oppose the subjectivism of orchids regardless of their own reality.

Second, specific analysis of specific problems.

All things in the world have contradictions, which are universal as well as special. The particularity of contradictions requires us to analyze, study and resolve contradictions, we must adhere to the point of view of specific analysis of specific problems. For example, the fertilization management of orchids. What kind of fertilizer is needed for orchids to grow? When on earth will fertilizer be applied? How much fertilizer is applied each time? This requires a specific analysis of the specific problems.

All kinds of orchids have their own particularity, and each plant of the same kind of orchid has different characteristics, including old seedlings, new gladiolus, strong and weak plants, healthy orchids, diseased orchids and so on. In addition, with different growing periods of orchids, the demand for all kinds of fertilizers is also different: more nitrogen fertilizer should be applied during the development of orchid seedlings, budding fertilizer should be applied at the budding stage, and phosphorus fertilizer should be applied at the flowering stage.

For example, orchids should have different control methods and drugs due to different pathogens and diseases: soft rot, that is, "sitting gladiolus", can be disinfected with topiramate; black spot can be disinfected with aldicarb; and black virus is a disease transmitted by aphids. Leaf disease should be cut off and burned. Different diseases are treated with different drugs and different methods, which is called "prescribing the right medicine to the case".

Concrete analysis of specific problems is not only the basis of understanding orchids, but also the key to correctly solve the problem of orchid planting. Therefore, the cultivation and management of orchids should adhere to the point of view of specific analysis of specific problems.

Third, act in accordance with objective laws

The law exists objectively and is not transferred by people's will. Therefore, the cultivation of orchids must act in accordance with the objective law. However, some orchids have high hopes for orchids and treat orchids as darlings, overly pampering: watering every day, fertilizing every week, more ramets, quickly changing pots, hoping to grow quickly, attacking fertilizer, longing to grow three inches at night, a foot high a day, pulling seedlings to encourage them, self-defeating, violating the objective law of orchid growth, growing worse and worse.

The cultivation of orchids must be done in accordance with the objective law, but the understanding and use of the law of orchid growth must be based on time, conditions and place. for example, water is the source of orchid life, orchids like to grow in cool and moist, orchids can not survive without water, but watering should not set a schedule, according to the rigid time and fixed weight. Watering orchids should be done "three times":

For the timing of watering orchids, Yilan's ancestors summed up as "not dry in autumn, not wet in winter", that is, it should be determined according to different seasons, generally speaking, it should be moist in winter and spring, moist in summer and autumn, not watered in cloudy days, more watered in sunny days, and not watered in rain and snow.

② in terms of growth conditions. That is to say, it depends on the size of the orchid pot, the number of plants in the basin, and the dry and wet of the plant material, so as to distinguish the situation and treat it separately.

③ looks from the site of Yanglan. The watering time is different in different places. The water evaporation of orchid basin soil on the ground is less, so it should be watered less. The balcony kind of blue light is strong, the wind blows for a long time, the basin soil water evaporates quickly, should spray more water or watering. Specific to the balcony part, Xiyang Taiwan sun is strong, more watering; southeast balcony lighting time is short, should be less watering.

Raising orchids and watering according to time, conditions, and place is to act in accordance with objective laws, and we should oppose the subjectivism of blindly watering regardless of specific conditions and time, conditions, and places.
