On the techniques related to the regulation of florescence of freesia
Freesia is a bulbous flower of the genus Cymbidium of Iridaceae and is one of the top ten cut flowers in the world. The purpose of freesia florescence regulation is to make better use of freesia flowering resources and to meet the requirements of production and consumption. The following is to introduce the techniques related to the florescence regulation of freesia. This technology is mainly aimed at New Year's Day, the market needs of Spring Festival and the climatic characteristics of Fujian:
1. Freesia dormant corms were stored at 28 ℃ for 5 weeks, and then treated with ethephon and gibberellin, the dormancy could be broken within 2 weeks.
2. After low temperature treatment from 8 ℃ to 10 ℃ for 40 days, the florescence could be advanced by 23 days, the deformity rate of cut flowers was 13.2%, and the early flowering rate was 60.6%.
3. Gibberellin combined with low temperature treatment for 40 days could advance flowering by 80 days, the deformity rate of cut flowers was 4.3%, and the early flowering rate was 90.5%.
4. In the past, it was thought that freesia bulbs must be placed under wet conditions in order to sense low temperature, so wet sawdust or perlite was generally used to fill the bulbs. When we treated the bulbs according to this method, the roots and buds grew after only 10 days of storage, and after 40 days of treatment, they formed a ball of bean sprouts, which affected not only the quality of cut flowers, but also transportation. After that, the dry storage method was used, that is, after the medicine solution was treated, the corm was fully dried and stored directly, which was successful. When stored for 40 days, only part of the bulbs germinated, and the buds were only 1 to 3 cm long, which had little effect on cultivation and transportation.
5. The cultivation temperature had a significant effect on the flowering stage, flower stem length and deformity rate of the treated bulb. The first ten days of December is the most suitable heat preservation in Fuzhou area. The above florescence control techniques have been applied in production, and obvious economic benefits have been obtained.
