How to grow broccoli? Broccoli, also known as green cauliflower, is a 1-2-year-old herb, known as the "vegetable crown". It is one of the common vegetables on our dinner table. Loyal fans of broccoli, let's briefly talk about the techniques of growing broccoli in the greenhouse. I hope it can be helpful to everyone.
First, sowing and raising seedlings
1. Variety selection
Varieties with strong plant growth, dark green leaves, many waxy leaves, compact bulbs, small buds and large bulbs, such as Oriental Lubao, Yuguan, Lilu, Fanglu, Lvling, Lvxiu, Oriental Luying, and so on.
In order to improve the planting efficiency of broccoli, attention should be paid to the collocation of early, middle and late maturing varieties.
2. Arrange the nursery bed
Choose sandy soil with high terrain, fertile soil, convenient drainage, and no cabbage or cabbage vegetables planted in the previous crop.
3. Fertilization before sowing
The mature compost 15-20kg was applied one year before sowing.
Press 1.5m net border surface to open ditch, ditch width 40cm, smooth border surface.
4. Sowing time
Sow seeds from late July to early August.
5. Sowing management
Sufficient bottom water should be irrigated before sowing to prevent underground insect pests.
Sow seeds with 25% carbendazim, 20 grams of fine soil, 1.5-2kg.
After sowing and covering the soil, build a shed to cover the sunshade net.
II. Field management
1. Prepare before planting
Daejeon selection requirements
A sandy or sandy loam field with high terrain and fertile soil.
Applying base fertilizer before transplanting
Mature organic fertilizer 2000kg, high concentration compound fertilizer 40-45kg and borax 1-1.5kg were applied per mu as base fertilizer.
Underground pest control
90% crystal trichlorfon is used to control underground pests per mu.
Dig trenches to make a bed
The requirements of trench cover: border width 1.6m, ditch width 30-40cm.
2. Reasonable close planting
Plant density
According to the combination of 60cmx40cm rice, 2700-3000 plants per mu were planted.
Post-planting management
Pour enough water after transplanting, water every 7-10 days, and cover the soil in time to preserve soil moisture.
3. Ploughing and fertilization
In addition to applying sufficient base fertilizer in the field, topdressing is required for three times, as follows:
The first topdressing: 5-7 days after planting, seedling fertilizer was applied, and urea 10kg was applied per mu.
The second topdressing: when the leaf age of the plant was 12-13, the leaf cluster fertilizer was applied with urea 15kg per mu.
The third topdressing: applying high concentration compound fertilizer 25kg and urea 10 kg per mu in Xianhua.
4. Disease prevention and insect control
To control black root disease of broccoli, 25% carbendazim and 70% thiophanate methyl were used for root irrigation treatment when the disease occurred.
The main pest was Pieris rapae. 160 million units of Ruixing wettable powder was used to control the first and second instar larvae per mu.
Beet armyworm, Spodoptera litura, Spodoptera litura and other high-efficiency and low-toxic pesticides.
5. pruning in time
Before and after budding, the lateral branches below the main stem were removed in time, fertilized immediately after the main corm was harvested, and the lateral corm was harvested.
