Cucumber is a very common melon vegetable in China, and the planting area in our country is also very large. When cucumber is planted, the management is very important, especially in the seedling stage, if it is not managed properly, then cucumber seedlings are prone to flourish, resulting in a decline in yield. So how to control the prosperity of cucumber seedlings? The following editor has brought us some methods to control the prosperity of cucumbers at the seedling stage. Let's take a look!

1. Growth regulator

In the cucumber seedling stage, we in order to avoid the phenomenon of seedling growth. The phenomenon of excessive growth of cucumber can be effectively avoided by the proper use of growth regulators. But do not overdose if the growth regulator is overused. Then it will cause cucumber to grow slowly or even not to grow. And when the cucumber vine grows to half a frame, do not continue to use growth regulators. If it continues to be used, it will have a great impact on the flower bud differentiation and melon bearing of cucumber, and the planting benefit will be reduced as a result.

2. Temperature difference between day and night

After stopping the use of growth regulators, we should control the temperature difference between day and night to prevent cucumber from growing at seedling stage. First of all, we should enlarge the temperature difference between day and night, and adjust the temperature in the greenhouse in time when the seedlings are flourishing. Under normal circumstances, during the day, the temperature in the greenhouse should be controlled at about 26-28 degrees, and the temperature difference between day and night should be kept at about 15 degrees. The lowest temperature at night should not be less than 10 degrees, otherwise cucumbers are easy to catch cold and affect the normal flowering and fruiting of cucumbers. A suitable temperature difference between day and night can not only prevent cucumber from growing, but also increase cucumber yield.

3. Water and fertilizer management

Water and fertilizer are also very important to the growth of cucumbers. Cucumber has strong growth ability and high yield, so when planting, the demand for water and fertilizer will be relatively large. But we must also control the amount of nitrogen fertilizer, especially nitrogen fertilizer, if too much nitrogen fertilizer is used, it can easily lead to cucumber growth. Therefore, when the base fertilizer is applied before planting, an appropriate amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be added to the base fertilizer, and then nitrogen fertilizer should no longer be applied in the process of growth. Should also pay attention to control the amount of water, watering should not be too much, to keep the soil moist. When watering too much, it should be drained in time to prevent the seedlings from growing.

4. Curved seedling

When we plant cucumbers, we should often observe the growth of cucumber seedlings. Especially when the seedlings grow, no matter when the cucumber plants grow. We can bend the vigorous cucumber seedling head properly. Change the growth point of the seedling head to below to avoid the top growth advantage is too large. Promote the nutrition in the cucumber plant to transport to the lower middle of the plant, inhibit the growth of the top, can effectively alleviate the phenomenon of vigorous growth, so as to achieve the purpose of controlling prosperity and increasing yield.

The above is a brief introduction to the methods of controlling the growth of cucumber seedlings. The control of cucumber is very important, which is directly related to the yield and quality of cucumber, so we must pay more attention to it. That's all for today's introduction.
