Citrus is a fruit promoted in our lives, many people also grow oranges themselves, especially in the south, and if growing oranges want to have high yield and good quality, they must do a good job. So do you know how to put oranges on top? Let's get to know it.

First, shoot time

The shooting time of citrus should be determined according to variety, tree age, tree potential, hanging fruit quantity, irrigation conditions and combined orchard and environmental conditions. Regardless of tree age, tree position, and hanging fruit quantity, if only one batch of autumn shoots are placed, farmers can start planting them in early August. If they want to put two batches of autumn shoots, they can put the first batch of shoots in early July and the second batch in summer in August. If the shoot is released in September, the temperature is low, which will cause the shoot not to mature late, which will affect the quality of citrus blossom and fruit in the coming year.

Second, the situation that it needs to be released in advance.

1. Orchards in dry land should be planted ahead of time.

Dryland orchards are often disadvantageous to autumn shoot germination, if there are more fruits or trees with weak potential, they will not be able to pull out autumn shoots, and when they are serious, the trees will turn yellow, affecting the yield of the current year and the fruit of the next year, so the time of shooting should be advanced, and the drought of jade noodles leads to less accumulation of tree nutrition. there are some problems, such as irregular and weak growth of autumn shoots.

2. if you hang a lot of fruit, you should put it in advance.

A large amount of hanging fruit is also prone to nutrient deficiency, once the lack of nutrients, new shoot growth will be very weak, but also prone to fruit cracking, so we should pay attention to promoting shoot fertilizer in this period.

3. Early-maturing varieties should be released ahead of time.

Early-maturing varieties such as sugar orange and Wenzhou tangerine should be released early and autumn shoots can be promoted in the middle of July.

4. The extensive management should be released in advance.

Extensive management of orchards due to the early hanging fruit and fruit expansion consumed a lot of nutrients, there is a lack of fertilizer and water, if the nutrition is not replenished in time, then there will be no new buds, late autumn shoots and other problems, so shoot ahead of time.

5. The older the tree is, the more it should be planted ahead of time.

The 7-8-year-old citrus trees should be fertilized in advance to attack and defend the autumn shoots and shoot at the end of July. The fruit trees of 4-6 years old should be planted in the middle of August, while the fruits soon hanging fruit should be planted in late August. On the one hand, it is convenient to cooperate with fertilization, save costs, achieve strong fruit and promote shoots, and second, there is sufficient time for trees to absorb.

6. The more the area goes to the north, Vietnam should release it in advance.

The temperature in the north is generally lower than that in the south, so the autumn shoots in the planting areas moving northward should be released about 5 days in advance, so that the autumn shoots in August are better, and the late autumn shoots after September are due to low temperature, lack of light and other reasons. the extracted autumn shoots can not reach the condition of flowering, which will seriously affect the yield in the coming year.

The above citrus trees should be introduced, hope to help you, want to know more related knowledge, please follow us.
