The production of edible fungi has the advantages of low input and high output, and has great market potential. Edible fungus is also an important part of modern ecological agriculture, and its rich nutritional value and unique medical and health care function are widely favored by consumers. But at present, there are still many problems restricting the healthy development of the industry. Only by solving these problems reasonably and correctly can we really ensure the high yield and high efficiency of edible fungus production. Based on many years' experience in the work of edible fungi at the grass-roots level, the author puts forward the following suggestions for reference.

First, correctly analyze the market of edible fungi and put on new varieties reasonably and appropriately.

Edible mushroom is a labor-intensive and technology-intensive industry, which has a very good development advantage in China. In recent years, many new varieties such as Pleurotus ostreatus and Apricot spore mushroom have been developed. Some mushroom farmers lack the necessary understanding of the needs of domestic and foreign markets, one-sidedly understand that a certain variety has a good market in a certain period of time, so they launch a large number of mushrooms blindly. As a result, the market volume of mushrooms is too large in a short period of time, resulting in a situation of cheap mushrooms hurting farmers. The price of Pleurotus ostreatus fell to 3.00 yuan / kg in the spring of 2005 is a good proof. Therefore, in-depth and detailed analysis of the market, correct selection of varieties and reasonable arrangement of production are the basic guarantee for the production of edible fungi with high yield and high efficiency.

Second, speed up technological renewal and improve the scientific and technological content of edible fungus production.

At present, many practical cultivation techniques have been developed rapidly, but they are far from enough in terms of popularization. many mushroom farmers hold a wait-and-see attitude to the new technology, and some mushroom farmers still stay at the level of a few years or even more than ten years ago. some introduced new varieties, but knew nothing about their cultivation and management, resulting in reduced production, low commodity rate, or even extinction.

In order to solve this problem, departments at all levels should make full use of all kinds of media to publicize a large number of edible fungi so as to raise the general public's understanding of the importance of edible mushroom production. Scientific research departments of edible fungi should often hold various types of training courses on edible fungi and increase the popularization of technology. The majority of mushroom farmers should actively subscribe to various edible mushroom magazines, actively learn technology, understand the market, rely on scientific and technological progress, and improve the overall scientific and technological content of edible mushroom production.
