Planting technique of Crystal Pear
Crystal pear is a new yellow pear variety bred in Korea. It has strong cold resistance, drought resistance, disease resistance and barren tolerance. It has been developed in recent years in various parts of China. It is an ideal yellow pear variety with large fruit type and high quality and storage resistance for consumers. So how do crystal pears grow? Let's get to know each other.
1. Building a garden
Although crystal pear is drought resistant, cold resistant, barren resistant and adaptable, it should also be planted in the best place. The sandy loam or loam with deep soil layer, fertile soil and rich organic matter should be selected for cultivation. It is best to have a little irrigation capacity, the terrain should be flat, to avoid cultivation in ridges and tuyere.
2. Reasonable close planting
Crystal pear has large pollen amount, when pollination is insufficient, its fruit setting rate is low, fruit is small and fruit quality is low, so it should be reasonably equipped with sufficient pollinated varieties to improve fruit setting rate and fruit quality, pollinated plants should account for more than 20% of the total number of cultivated plants. The early fruiting stage of crystal pear is characterized by erect trunk and weak germination ability. It is suitable for dense planting, which can promote the early yield increase. The plant spacing of 2 m ×4 m or 2 m ×3 m can be used to improve the accumulation of photosynthetic products and promote premature production.
3. Strengthen management
When crystal pear bears fruit, it will be weak, so in production to prevent tree weakness, should control the yield per mu in 3000 kg or so, the excess flowers and fruits in time thinning. At the same time, nutrition should be supplemented in time. After fruit picking, 3000 kg organic fertilizer should be applied per mu as base fertilizer, and quick-acting chemical fertilizer should be applied during flowering and fruiting period to supplement nutrition. The amount of fertilizer should be determined according to the yield and soil fertility. In production, it is necessary to strengthen the renewal pruning, control the age of the bearing branches within 2-3 years, timely renew the aging bearing branches over 3 years, grasp the updated branches every year to account for about 1/3 of the total branches, maintain the dynamic balance among the bearing branches, mature branches and auxiliary branches, and prevent the tree from weakening.
4. Pest control
Crystal pear has strong disease resistance, but especially other pear trees have strong resistance to black star, anthracnose and ring rot, but fruit rust is easy to occur. The pests are caused by aphids, chafers, scale insects and fruit borers. In production, prevention should be strengthened. The stone sulfur mixture should be sprayed before germination to kill the overwintering pests and reduce the base number of pests and diseases, laying a foundation for prevention and control. Bagging in time after fruiting, fruit surface protection, so as to avoid fruit rust and fruit borer harm.
