Jujube alias longevity fruit, its fruit is sweet and slightly sweet, can be eaten raw, brewed wine, boiled sugar, high edible value, but also has high medicinal value. So do you know the field management of jujube? Let's get to know it with the editor.

1. Fertilization

Jujube likes fertilizer, on the basis of applying sufficient base fertilizer, topdressing is needed twice a year, the first time is in mid-early May, and the second time is in mid-late July. Generally, 5 kg of rotten farm manure and 100 grams of calcium superphosphate are applied to each plant, and it is evenly mixed and applied in trenches between rows. Fertilization should be applied once after fruit harvest, usually before freezing, mainly with rotten farm manure, covering the root system 1-2 cm deep or covering a layer of litter and pressing a layer of soil, which can not only keep the buds from freezing, but also protect the buds from freezing damage, which is conducive to seedling emergence and yield in the following year.

2. Ploughing and weeding

Weeding should be carried out 3-4 times a year to promote the growth and development of the plant root system, pay attention to the depth when ploughing, so as not to hurt the root, generally the bedside should be shallow, the middle should be a little deeper, and the root system should be shallow hoe, with the principle of not injuring the root, weeding should be diligent, if it is a small area cultivation, artificial weeding is recommended, and large area cultivation is recommended to use herbicides, but attention should be paid to the chemical concentration and spraying methods, so as not to affect the plants.

3. Drought prevention and drainage

Zizyphus jujuba is a fibrous root crop, and the root system is mostly distributed in 15 cm soil layer, so it is afraid of drought and waterlogging. Drought often occurs in May-June in Northeast China. In case of drought, it should be watered in time to keep the soil moist and promote plant growth. While it is rainy season from July to August, it is necessary to dig drainage ditches in advance, eliminate stagnant water in the garden in time, reduce humidity, reduce retting roots and prevent the occurrence of diseases and insect pests.

4. Clear the garden

If there is no natural forest shade in the low ground, remove the mulch after emergence, then set up a sunshade and cover it with Artemisia grass, straw curtain or nylon net. Remove the shade in September, wait for the bitter taste of the ground, clean up the garden in time, pick up withered leaves and other sundries outside the garden, and spray pesticides to control diseases and insect pests at the same time.
