Cauliflower is also called forget worry grass, the reason is that the ancient books say that cauliflower tastes good, eat can forget sorrow. Cauliflower is a perennial plant of Liliaceae, which mainly feeds on flowers similar to lilies above ground. Flowers are usually yellow, so they are called cauliflower. So in what environment should such a good cauliflower be planted, and what are the requirements for the planting environment? Please continue to read below.

1. Temperature

The most suitable temperature for growth is 20 to 25 degrees, and the most suitable temperature for leaves can be reduced to 15 to 20 degrees. The flowering temperature should be between 25 and 30 degrees, and then the low temperature above 5 degrees can germinate, but it is best to germinate above 10 degrees to grow the fastest. The underground part is relatively resistant to low temperature, can survive at minus 10 degrees, dormant roots in winter and germinate again in spring. So it grows best in temperate and subtropical regions.

2. Soil

The requirement for soil is not very strict, and it is common to grow on hillsides or riversides. Generally more drought-resistant, dry soil can also grow well, some unmanaged mountain wild can also grow, sometimes there are some soil can also grow in the stone crevice. The soil is not very nutritious but can also be planted, and growth has been seen in dry yellow soil. Cauliflower can adapt to saline-alkali soil, but also can inhibit the salt in the soil.

3. Moisture

The soil had better be medium dry humidity, soil moisture is about 50%, drought-resistant but not too dry, it is best to maintain a certain degree of moisture, it is better to grow with water. But do not accumulate water, stagnant water will affect root growth, easy retting roots, suffocating rhizomes rot. Because the rhizome has strong water retention, it is resistant to drought.

4. Lighting

The light adaptability is broad, it is more like the sun, the photosynthesis is better when the light is good, the organic matter produced is more nutritious, and then the yield is better under the condition of good light in the humid environment, but it is very adaptable to the light. It can also grow in a shady environment, intercropping with other crops, or growing in some shade.

5. Climate

It is best to plant in the subtropical and temperate zones, preferably in the spring and autumn here, where the lowest temperature in winter will not exceed minus 10 degrees Celsius, can survive the winter, will not freeze to death, and the temperature in spring will pick up quickly, sprout relatively fast, and grow rapidly. Summer can also shade and cool the growth.

Cauliflower is mainly suitable for planting in southwest, central, northern and coastal areas. Adaptability is relatively strong. The growth environment can be artificially adjusted, including temperature, and can also be adjusted by some measures.
