Succulent plants are loved by everyone for their fat appearance, but if the leaves are withered, it is very worrying. What is the reason for the withered leaves of succulent plants?

What about the withered leaves of succulent plants?

1. Normal metabolism

Some plants will have a metabolic process in the new morning, especially some succulent plants that are easy to form old stumps, and the leaves at the bottom will occasionally wither. In this case, flower lovers don't have to worry, just let nature take its course.

2. There is a problem at the root

This situation is divided into two situations, one is just on the basin, is still in the slow seedling stage, and the other is normal maintenance errors, resulting in root problems.

If the plant is still in the slow root stage, we can wait patiently, because the plant has a slow seedling process, when the root has not fully recovered and cannot absorb nutrients and water normally. The plant will rely on the consumption of nutrients stored on the peripheral old leaves to maintain normal physiological function and new tissue growth. Therefore, the state shown is that the stems and leaves are weak, and the outer old leaves will gradually atrophy and fall off.

For normal metabolism or dried leaves that are changing pots, all we have to do is wait. The old leaves, which have been exhausted and withered, have basically become a piece of Kraft paper. After the old leaf becomes soft and dry, you don't have to take it off in advance. When the nutrients are completely exhausted, it will naturally wither and fall. If you take it off before its nutrients are completely consumed, you will speed up the fall of another leaf. They all wither and fall in order.

As for the withered leaves caused by root problems, we need to find them in time, and we can check some roots, whether there are rots, whether there are black spots, such as black rot, which will lead to succulent leaves becoming watery and somewhat withered. This situation should be dealt with as soon as possible.
