Potted strawberries need to consume a lot of nutrients to maintain flowering and fruit growth in the flowering and fruit stage, but the nutrients in the potted soil are limited, so they need to be replenished in time. Only with adequate nutrients can normal flowering and fruiting be supported. However, potted strawberries in the flowering and fruiting stage, if they supplement nutrients by topdressing, the method must be scientific and reasonable, otherwise it may be counterproductive.

This is a continuous process from strawberry flowering to fruit, which usually consumes a lot of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, so it should be replenished in time. If the phenomenon of lack of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer occurs during the flowering and fruit stage, it will often reduce the plant's ability to protect against the cold, and the buds will grow weakly, and the number of flowers will be reduced, even the taste of the fruit will be affected, and it is not easy to store, prone to decay and deterioration.

It can be seen that fertilization at flowering and fruit stage is very important to promote flower and protect fruit, improve fruit setting rate, and original reduction of abnormal fruit; and reasonable topdressing can also make strawberry fruit more colorful, reduce sugar content and improve taste. So, how to fertilize potted strawberries at flowering and fruiting stage? What kind of fertilizer is better?

First, after strawberries enter the flowering and fruiting stage, it is advisable to apply root fertilizer every 2-3 weeks, mainly to supplement phosphorus and potassium. Appropriate amount of potassium dihydrogen phosphate dilution can be applied, or self-retting and rotten animal bone powder can be applied, then diluted about 100 times with water, and then evenly applied to the soil around the roots of potted strawberries. After topdressing liquid fertilizer, it is usually necessary to pour water in time to dilute and dissolve the fertilizer left in the soil layer, so that nutrients can be absorbed more fully.

At the same time, keep spraying 800 times dilution of potassium phosphate or filtrate of calcium phosphate and plant ash on potted strawberries once a week, 25-30 times of water. These diluents are then sprayed on all flowers, leaves and fruits until droplets drop. By spraying foliar fertilizer, phosphorus and potassium can be fully absorbed, thus the content of phosphorus and potassium needed for flowering and fruiting of potted strawberries can be improved, thus the quality of flowers and fruits can be improved.
