Friends who enter the pit and have been deeply poisoned will want to try to sow succulent plants themselves, but how can succulent plant seeds collected by online shopping or collected by themselves germinate? Maybe you need to take a closer look at the steps of planting and sowing succulent plants.

The steps of planting and sowing succulent plants

I. Pretreatment of succulent plant seeds

1. Seeds must be sown at a suitable temperature. If the temperature is too high or too low, it is easy to cause low germination rate or no germination at all. Generally, the following continuous temperatures are needed for sowing: crassulaceae, 20 ℃; Caryophyllaceae, 15 ℃; Cactus, 30 ℃.

2. The seeds of each variety must be sown in a pot or seedling box, not multiple varieties in the same basin or seedling box! Many people are easy to sow multiple varieties in the same seedling box, resulting in newly sprouted seeds need to see light, unsprouted seeds need to avoid light, can not be processed.

3. The soil for planting needs to be disinfected. It is suggested that after the soil is mixed with water, it should be packed in a fresh-keeping bag. Do not seal the mouth of the bag and put it into the microwave oven for heating and disinfection. Choose microwave for 10 minutes. Take it out and spread it into a basin. Cool it thoroughly and use it. Microwave soil can effectively remove eggs, weeds and germs.

II. Seed sowing of succulent plants

1. Prepare sowing containers and sowing soil, which requires finer particles (because succulent seeds are generally very small), drainage and ventilation, and certain water retention capacity.

2. Lay a thin layer of bottom stone at the bottom of the small box to facilitate plant water infiltration and moisturizing. If there is no base stone, you can use 3-6 mm bark, ceramsite or even small stones picked up by the roadside instead.

3. Load the soil into a basin, flatten the surface, soak in water, and soak thoroughly all the time.

4. You can lay a layer of vermiculite or red jade soil with small particles (1-3 mm) on the surface layer. Vermiculite or red jade soil keeps water and breathable. The dry and wet color is different, and the soil is easy to see when it is dry. If you do not use small particles of vermiculite and red jade, you do not have to lay them, but you must pick up the perlite floating on the soil surface with tweezers, so that the soil surface is free of perlite (that is, small stones with white particles).
