In recent years, in late autumn, there are always people who are keen to go to other places to watch red leaves. In fact, the leaves of Coptis chinensis, a native red-leaf tree, are more beautiful than those of yellow, maple and maple trees in other places. So, how to sow seeds to make Coptis chinensis bonsai?

Seed treatment:

At the beginning of March, the seeds were soaked in 60-70 ℃ water for 24 hours, and then soaked in normal temperature water for 2-3 days. After the seed coat is fully softened, rub it forcefully for 4 times and 5 times, completely rub off the seed coat and the wax layer outside the seed, and then treat it with repellent to prevent the harm of birds and animals in winter. The seeds were mixed with slag ash and packed in a woven bag, exposed to the sun during the day, moved indoors at night to keep the temperature, seeds began to crack and germinate in about 15 days, more than 80% of the seeds were cracked, and when the seeds were white, sow in time.

Seeding rate:

The 1000-seed weight of Pistacia chinensis is about 92 g, and the container seedling is about 7500 m2/hm2 (except the trail of 40 cm), about 170 bags / m2, and the seed quantity is 375-450 kg/hm2 per bag.

Sowing method:

When sowing, concentrate the seeds in the center of the container and do not overlap. The thickness of the soil layer covering the seeds is 1.5 cm. Pour enough bottom water after sowing, irrigate with small water when watering, and pay attention to control the flow of water head to prevent the speed of water from washing away seeds and matrix. Cover fine straw, hay or plastic film in time.
