Now it is mainly processed into all kinds of snacks, or made into all kinds of food. at present, western plum is also planted in China, but the planting area is small. After learning about Prunus mume, let's learn about the cultivation techniques of Prunus mume.

I. Construction of orchards

It is best to plant in the mountains, but not in the tuyere, it is best to plant in deep soil, the soil will not be hardened, sticky, loose and breathable soil is the best choice, preferably sandy loam, but not sandy soil. The orchard needs to build a protective net to prevent wild animals from entering and digging drains in the park.

II. Management of young trees

In the first year after planting, the plants are mainly grown on the ground, and the pruning gradually grows into a tree shape that is easy to manage and grow well, such as the natural happy shape. The main trunk is about 1.3 meters from the ground, leaving 3 to 4 main branches short, and then gradually leaving branches, the rest of the pruning. Then it is to replenish fertilizer and water to promote growth and remove excess buds and branches.

III. Flower and fruit management

Artificial pollination during flowering or bee release in orchards can ensure the success rate of pollination and fertilization, improve fruit setting rate, prevent sudden low temperature during flowering, and spray 500 times of anthocyanin solution during flowering can prolong flowering period and avoid reducing fruit caused by low temperature. The need for fruit thinning to remove weak branches, diseased branches, dry and withered branches, dense branches under the hanging branches, the interior should be empty, ventilated and transparent. This can reduce nutrition consumption and concentrate nutrition to the fruit.

IV. Other management

Covering the roots of fruit trees with grass or thin film is good for soil moisture conservation. Leguminous grasses such as Artemisia mandshurica are made occasionally. Leguminous roots can fix nitrogen fertilizer and increase soil nutrition, and grass can be turned into the ground in the middle of growth to be used as green manure. Base fertilizer should be applied after fruit harvest, 30 jin for young trees and 80 jin for adult trees. Using the annular ditch application method, topdressing once before flowering, once in the fruit expansion period. One kilogram of compound fertilizer for young trees and 2 to 3 jin for adult trees each time.

Prunus mume cultivation is the first orchard construction, usually the content of field management, the key period is the management of flowering and fruiting period, and the later stage is mainly divided into some management of young trees and adult trees.
