In the summer of 2019, Taiwan's Rural Front will hold "Xia Yun-Rural grassroots investigation Camp: the distance between us and Farmers." Xia Yun brings young people to the countryside. We believe that only by being close to the land and the countryside and having more dialogue and contact in action can we truly understand the beauty and sorrow of Taiwan's countryside.
The "Taiwan Rural Front" is assembled because of resistance to rural regeneration regulations. In a campaign to protect the countryside and farmers, the Peasants' Front connected every citizen who was concerned about agricultural issues and became an organic organization that went hand in hand with agriculture. Of course, there are enthusiastic students and young people. Although young people take action to realize their concern for agricultural issues, under the gap between urban and rural areas, the younger generation is really strange to the real field of the countryside. As a result, Xia Yun has sprung up, and we hope to fully link Xia Yun's tricks and strength to enrich the strength and future of Taiwan's rural areas.
"Camp Information and introduction"
The summer camp is divided into three stages. The first stage will be held in Meinung. The course focuses on fieldwork, local creation and various agricultural topics. It is hoped that through the first stage, students will have a basic understanding of rural areas. More information can be found on the official website.
In the second stage, students will be taken to various parts of Taiwan to conduct field research. this year, the cooperation units include: Yunlin Jackie Chan Community, Yuanli Haifeng, Lugang Central Taiwan Agricultural Base, Seafood Life in Southern Australia, Sugarcane Culture Studio, and other teams. through the leadership of the local team, use fieldwork to talk to the rural areas.
The third phase will be carried out in the form of a presentation of the results, which is expected to be held during the bending life festival. Crystallize the results of the fieldwork into a paper, and share the fruits of Xia Yun's sweat with local, relatives and friends.
