At the request of some flower and horticultural departments, it is necessary to put forward suggestions on pest control on bonsai gardens to which they belong. To this end, we went to the base to learn about the growth and management of bonsai and flowers, and listened to the introduction of the current occurrence of nematodes, and now put forward the relevant control plans as follows:

I. the main problems existing in flower bonsai

At present, the woody plants on bonsai have a direct impact on the export market because of nematodes. Although some traditional methods have been adopted and good control effects have been achieved, some flowers and bonsai roots have been affected. After export, the bonsai withered, fallen leaves until death, after comprehensive analysis, caused by the following reasons.

1. The main governance methods adopted at present

At present, the woody seedlings exported should be treated with pesticides before changing pots and exports, so that bonsai with pots can absorb the solution and then export or change pots for temporary cultivation. We believe that this method of nematode control is a traditional method at present, which can be used in the case of high density in greenhouse. But it also brings the following problems.

The main results are as follows: (1) if the pesticide is used for too long, the drug damage will directly affect the root growth, and it is reported that the root of the seedling is blackened, which is the main reason why the drug damage affects the seedling growth.

(2) there is no comparative test between tree species and tree species of flower bonsai, no matter what kind of tree species, the same method is used, which will cause drug damage to the tree species with poor drug resistance.

(3) the varieties of pesticides have not been tested, except that some varieties of pesticides can be used, although some have been registered and some have not been registered, there is a risk of efficacy, residue and damage in the use.

2. suggestions that need to be improved

The main results are as follows: (1) nematodes are mainly transmitted by soil, so the use of wireless soil is a key measure, so it is suggested that the current soil treatment methods should be improved in terms of cost and effectiveness.

(2) increasing the concentration of the solution and mixing other pesticides will affect the growth of the root system.

(3) when nematode treatment agents have been used at present, other pesticides should not be used blindly.

(4) to reduce the concentration of pesticides, we should also compare the bonsai of different trees and varieties, and screen out the different frequency of use of different trees and varieties.

(5) looking for new pesticides to deal with nematodes. It is suggested that different pesticides should be used for experiments with different concentrations, different varieties, different trees and different times. To determine whether it can replace the existing pesticides to control nematodes.

2. Some suggestions on the need to strengthen pest control

1. Experts should determine all kinds of bonsai diseases and insect pests for comprehensive observation and technical guidance on prevention and control as soon as possible, and do not grope entirely on their own. Do a good job in the current work and technical reserves to prevent the impact of "green barriers".

2. Purchase necessary instruments and equipment and observation room. Add the necessary equipment at the base, so that you can carry out prevention and control while observing the effect.

3. Collect the data of planting, variety and pest control of bonsai at home and abroad to improve the survival rate and growth rate of bonsai.
