Prevention and control of mosaic disease in orchids, and what are the methods of fertilizing orchids?
Identification points: orchid mosaic disease is a whole-plant disease caused by virus. Due to the different types of viruses, the disease symptoms are quite different. In general, the color of new leaves is lighter, there are longitudinal slender stripes, old leaves can form dark brown necrotic stripes, wheel spots and other mosaic symptoms.
Characteristics of occurrence: the pathogen is a variety of viruses, mainly CyMV, ORSV, CaYMV and so on. The virus is transmitted by sap contact, and plant ramets and virus-carrying bulbs are the main ways to spread the disease.
Prevention and control methods:
(1) the ramet and transplanting knives should be disinfected, and the seed balls and tools should be sterilized with 10-fold solution of trisodium phosphate.
(2) before the onset of the disease or after the diseased plant is found, spray with 400 times of 5% bacterial detergent and 500 times of 20% of Dukexin wettable powder.
