Clivia winter to fine cultivation, Clivia leaf spot disease how to prevent
Clivia is a favorite flower. It likes temperature, likes light, does not tolerate cold, easy to survive and not easy to maintain. In winter, if you want to raise Clivia, you should pay special attention to strengthening management and make more efforts in the following five links.
1. Soil fertilizer management Clivia hi loose fertile neutral or weakly acidic humus soil, cultivation soil can be humus soil 65%, 20% clean sand, fine furnace ash 15% mixed. From the autumnal equinox to the winter solstice, clivia should be applied a solid fertilizer, nitrogen fertilizer should be applied less, phosphorus fertilizer, potassium fertilizer. Eggshell powder and cooked fish fishy water is a good phosphate fertilizer, bran ash, soot is easily available potassium fertilizer. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizers can also be applied to promote the germination of more new plants and leaves. Fertilization must be appropriate, avoid applying concentrated fertilizer and unfermented fertilizer, otherwise, it is easy to cause leaf tip withered or rotten. In winter, if the new leaves appear spots and the roots are yellow, it means that there is too much fertilizer, while the new leaves are narrow, thin and especially light in color, which is the performance of lack of fertilizer.
2. Watering soil should not be too dry and too wet, each watering must be watered thoroughly, after the bud also more watering. Every 20 days or so can be combined with watering once fermented bean cake water, light fishy water and horseshoe water, watering and fertilization combined. When the room temperature is low, control watering to prevent the pot soil from being too wet. The pot soil will cause rotten roots to die, but it cannot make the pot soil too dry.
3. The suitable temperature for keeping Clivia in winter is 15℃~20℃, and it is best not to be lower than 10℃. The temperature should be kept at about 18 ° C after the arrow, and the temperature difference between day and night is preferably about 10 ° C, otherwise the flower arrow will bloom if it does not grow to a proper height, and it is easy to form a "clip arrow". Therefore, when the outdoor temperature is lower than 10℃ at night, it should be moved indoors. When the indoor temperature is lower than 10℃, in addition to covering a layer of 1 cm thick charcoal powder on the surface of the basin, it should be placed indoors in a sunny place to keep warm. When the indoor temperature is particularly low, a film can be covered on the flowerpot to raise the temperature, but the temperature inside the cover cannot exceed 25 ° C. If it exceeds 25 ° C, ventilation should be used to cool down.
4. Although Clivia likes semi-shade environment, the longer sunshine in winter, the better. When flowering, strong light will shorten the flowering period, and weak light will prolong the flowering period. It likes warm and cool, avoid cold and heat, generally grow well in 18℃~20℃ temperature, stop growing below 5℃, and do not suffer above 0℃. Clivia into the room, the light was limited, need to manually move the flowerpot to adjust. Under normal circumstances, it should be placed indoors in the sun during the day to make it shine into the sun and maintain its original color. Before flowering, it should also be placed under fluorescent lamps for indoor supplementary lighting at night. Because the two rows of leaves of Clivia are opposite, if the light is in a position for a long time, it will make the leaves grow unevenly and affect the viewing effect. For this reason, the direction of the leaves should be paid attention to when adjusting the light, and the sunny side should be replaced every 10 days or so. There are two ways to swing the flowerpot indoors, one is to parallel the leaves to the sunny window, the other is to perpendicular the leaves to the sunny window, and the latter effect is better than the former.
5. The florescence of Clivia clivia is mostly from December to March of next year. The method of prolonging flowering period is to put the flowers in a dark place when they are about to bloom, control watering properly, and keep the temperature at 8℃~12℃. In this way, the flowering period can be extended by 10 - 20 days.
