Poplar bonsai is more cold-resistant, strong germination, coarse tie and fine cut, made into cloud flake or steamed bread, or processed into a natural tree shape. The trunk is made into oblique dry type or prone type according to the natural trend. Some boxwood bonsai is embellished with Xiushi, and it becomes "Huang Yang Fu".

Huang Yang should be placed in half-shade, especially in summer. In addition to cold areas in winter, you can generally spend the winter outdoors and bury the basin in a place that takes shelter from the wind and the sun, but the leaf color is often red after frost.

Yellow poplar likes to be moist, and the basin soil should be slightly wet, but it is not suitable for stagnant water. Summer high temperature in addition to shade, but also need to be watered in the morning and evening.

Populus tomentosa grows from the edge of rivers and streams to a small basin in the garden, and the biggest change in the environment is that the humidity is small, which should give it a timely and appropriate amount of supplement.

The basin should always be moist, because its root absorption, leaf photosynthesis and the whole growth process need a lot of water, of course, the demand also varies with the seasonal climate.

Therefore, watering should pay attention to climate, pay attention to technology, and ensure quality. When the temperature is above 20 ℃ and there is a shortage of water in the basin, watering is divided into three steps:

The first step is to rinse the immovable soil (to meet the water demand in the basin)

Second, the branches and leaves should be drenched (watered from multiple angles)

Step three, spray.

In summer days or when the temperature is above 20 ℃, if there is no shortage of water in the basin, follow the second and third steps; when the temperature is below 20 ℃ and above 10 ℃, there is no shortage of water in the basin. In winter morning, in the sun, water is watered once a day according to the third step.

After "White Dew" in autumn, wait for the dew to dry, spray water according to the third step, do not water the frost sooner or later; do not water before the "three or nine days" cold wave comes to prevent frozen soil, freeze branches and leaves, and also keep the drainage in the basin well ventilated.
