Here, I would like to use my own personal experience to explain, for gardenia, remember, do not believe in varieties (I was also keen on individual varieties before), the reason is very simple, because gardenia needs continuous pruning (completely different from many sketch varieties, five-needle pine needles once a year, congenital varieties determine needle length and shape, black pine is not afraid of secondary buds). Finally, by the way, the post does not say that the optimization of varieties is a bad thing, or that those varieties are not good. And the Dharma Gardenia mentioned earlier, that is, round leaves, this variety has basically been eliminated in Japan, because the veins of the leaves are too obvious, the leaves often wrinkle, and so on (so is the Xidai jade gardenia), so it is easy to hide dirt and cause some pests. This is one point, two points, because the leaf shape of this variety of gardenia is determined, because the leaf is a little round, and the shield is round, that is to say, the leaf is very broad. To the leaf heel gradually thin, such a leaf, for the positive gardenia, daylighting and ventilation are extremely disadvantageous!
