June snow, also known as the sky star, small leaves, white flowers in summer, hence the name June snow. The bonsai made of snow in June shows its roots and claws, clear and elegant, changeable posture and peculiar charm. At present, there are two common varieties of June snow on the market: one is clumpy, the flower is reddish, and the flower is shaped like a trumpet, which is inferior; the other is a small dry tree with pure white flowers and double petals.

If you are interested in the production of snow bonsai in June, you can also do it yourself and trim your own shape, which is even more interesting.

June snow branches are soft, easy to tie the shape, young trees can make miniature bonsai. To make large and medium-sized bonsai in the south, most of them go to the mountains to dig the old piles, cut all the branches short, "raise the billet" for one year, and then shape it the next year. Rough pruning and fine pruning are commonly used in modeling, the trunk is tied into an irregular "S" shape, and side branches and twigs are often trimmed.

June snow is strong, resistant to pruning, soft branches, many whiskers, twisted and irregular. According to these characteristics, it can be made into bonsai in many forms, such as lifting root type, stone-attached type, cliff type, connecting root type and so on. After the branches are tied, they should be retained for about 2 years before they can be stereotyped. If the flat binding is removed prematurely, it is often easy to return to its original form and all previous efforts will be wasted.

The snow in June is pruned twice a year, the first in mid-April, which is conducive to blooming in June, and the second time, after the flowers have withered and fallen, the shoots are cut off to make them sprout. The sprouting tillering branches and over-dense branches of the roots should be cut off at any time. In the cattle growing season, we should often pick the heart, so that the branches and leaves to meet the modeling needs.

Turn the basin once every 1-2 years, in spring from February to March or late autumn, remove all the old soil and trim the roots properly. It can be combined with turning the basin to lift the root to make it form a hanging root and improve the ornamental value.

After the semi-deciduous leaves in winter to the sprouting of the following spring, a pruning is carried out to cut short and ungrown branches, remove overdense thin and weak branches, cut off branches of diseases and insect pests and other messy branches that affect ornamentation, and timely carry out coring, sprouting, branch removal and so on during the growing period, so as to keep them in beautiful shape. The cut healthy branches can be used for cutting propagation. As mentioned earlier, June snow is very resistant to pruning and easy to shape, so bonsai can also be made. Flower friends do not have to worry about pruning. Every winter, from semi-deciduous leaves to the Beginning of Spring before sprouting, a plastic pruning is carried out, pruning long branches and overgrown branches, thinning thin and weak branches that are too dense, cutting off branches of diseases and insect pests and other messy branches that affect ornamental; timely coring, sprouting, and removing branches are carried out during the growing period to keep them in a beautiful shape. Potted plants usually do a good job of pruning and heart-picking before germination, properly reduce the height and control the growth.
