Tripterygium przewalskii is often shaped by bushes. After shrub planting, 3 or 5 strong branches are generally selected and cut short according to their growth strength, usually strong branches are cut lightly, weak branches are heavily cut, and in places with good fertilizer and water conditions, they should be cut long and long; in places with poor fertilizer and water conditions, heavy cutting and short cutting should be left, and the cutting mouth should leave extroverted buds in order to expand the range of trees. At the same time, cut off too many and too small branches at the base, leaving space in the cluster, conducive to ventilation and light, more flower buds, and can promote the germination of strong new branches from the rhizosphere in the following year, and increase the number of branches in the cluster.

In the next winter pruning, there were already several sprouting tillering branches in the clump, which could not blossom in that year and could not leave too many, lest the branches in the clump were too dense and affected ventilation and light transmission, so only 2-3 sprouting tillers were generally left, and the rest were all removed. The selected tillering branches should be properly truncated to promote more medium and short branches in the middle and lower parts, so as to lay the foundation for early flowering.

Several backbone branches that were truncated last year should be retracted and pruned according to the strength of branch growth. Generally, 1 or 2 long branches from the top of the mother branch are cut off together with part of the mother branch to reduce the height of the branch. Then the long branches and the middle and short branches under the cutting mouth are cut short, and the long branches should be cut lightly to ease the branch potential and promote the lower short branches to form flower buds; the middle and short branches can be cut short with 2-3 buds. In this way, we let nature take its course and form bushes.

Stick stem begonia flowers and colors are beautiful and pleasing to the eye, the branches are vigorous and oblique, hard and powerful. Just in the soft, the most Rao ancient fruit mature in October, golden yellow, but also quite ornamental value, is an excellent flower and fruit bonsai tree species. The main results are as follows: 1. Cultivate plant shape: for ground or potted begonia, cut off diseased and weak branches and dead branches, so that the cluster is hollow and conducive to ventilation and light. And select the unique branches for careful pruning, pruning 3-5 times in the same year to make the branches bend and extend, and the last pruning should be completed before the end of July, otherwise the flower bud differentiation will be affected and the number of flowers will be rare in the coming year. At the same time, strengthen fertilizer and water management to ensure that flowers and leaves are luxuriant.

2. High-altitude crimping: high-altitude crimping can be carried out after sticking the stalks of begonia flowers. First, the selected twigs were girdled with 1-1.5cm, and if smeared with 50-100pp rooting powder, they could take root 5-10 days ahead of time. Then take a square clean plastic film with a side length of 15-25cm, drill a small hole in the center, just through the tree trunk, and cut it to the center in the middle of one side, put the plastic film around the 10cm below the girdle, tie it up, and irrigate the prepared culture soil. The cultivated soil is light in quality and good in passage. vermiculite or rotten leaf soil, mature sawdust and a small amount of garden soil are generally used, mix evenly and sprinkle with appropriate amount of water. The culture soil is 0.25-0.5 kg, and then the plastic film is bound at 5c above the ring peel. Daily management and protection should pay attention to maintain the humidity of the culture soil in the plastic film, such as the culture soil is white, you can use a needle to inject water, and pay attention to plastic surgery.

3. Cutting off mother plant culture: one month after high pressure, white tender roots can be produced one after another at the ring peeling place. When the number of roots exceeds 10, the total length exceeds 50cm, and the root color turns yellow, the mother plant can be cut off. According to the rooting situation, the shoot size and trunk thickness can be cut off for 1-3 times. At present, the plastic film can be removed and cultivated in flowerpots slightly larger than soil balls. at the same time, some branches or leaves should be cut off to maintain the balance of transpiration and water absorption. After two weeks of maintenance in a shaded place, you can enter the routine maintenance. Because the sticking stem begonia takes root quickly, it has to be changed once in that year. In winter, flowerpots can be buried in the ground to spend the winter outdoors. The following year, it became a bonsai with quaint posture, luxuriant flowers and leaves, and numerous fruits.

The characteristic of this method is that the modeling time is short, it takes only one year, and the root system is uniform, and the root can be curved slightly; the root is small, suitable for planting in various landscape pots; the flowers are luxuriant, the posture is quaint, and can be produced in large quantities at one time. According to the experiment, the high pressure on the 10-year-old branch can still be a success. The deficiency is that it is not easy to expose the root, it needs to be raised for more than 2 years.
