Hydrangea is poisonous and has five special tastes. Accidental eating can lead to colic, abdominal pain, diarrhea, shortness of breath, vomiting, hematochezia and other toxic symptoms. Therefore, it is better not to put it indoors, nor do you want to pick and play with the beauty of flowers. If the home bought hydrangea pot, suitable for ventilation balcony or balcony for viewing.

For the reproduction of hydrangea, you can start cutting before sprouting in February (flower friends in other seasons can also try, surprises are always after trying), select semi-lignified branches, about 20 cm long, pick off the lower leaves, cut off the buds with buds, cuttings are suitable for 13-18 ℃, and take root 15 days after cutting. Of course, there are also some flower friends who have taken root.

Yesterday I promised a flower friend to teach her the cutting method of hydrangea. As a result, I promised one second and forgot all about it the next. When I was editing the hydrangea post yesterday, I was stupefied that I didn't think of cutting. So, I'm really sorry, so I made it up today.

And this period of time is also the most suitable time to play with cuttings, so you must not miss the branches cut from hydrangea flowers at home. If you don't want to waste them, learn to cut them.

The cutting of hydrangea is actually very simple, and the commonly used methods are nothing more than cutting, pressing, ramet, and so on, but the reproduction of hydrangea is basically based on cutting. a few years ago, I used the method of cutting rose to cut several hydrangeas, and the survival rate was 100%. So I personally feel that the survival rate is much higher than that of rose.

However, there were no photos at that time, so today I will borrow some other people's cuttings for a demonstration, the picture is from Baidu Tieba bandit Song Ye, thank you!

The specific steps are as follows:

1. Prepare the cutting substrate and container, the following picture uses peat + perlite, the mainstream cutting medium, of course, you can also try other media, as for the container, if not too much, you can use a nutrition bowl or disposable water cup. You don't have to buy this. Pour water once after filling to keep the matrix moist.

2. Select the twigs that are born in that year, cut the branches into the following picture, a pair of leaves, and then cut off half of each leaf, in order to reduce the evaporation of water. As for the length of the cuttings, do not leave too long on the leaf surface, about 1 cm 2 cm, and about 3 cm 5 cm below the cuttings. It is useless to stay too long, too short and not stable.

3. After it is all plugged in, pour the water thoroughly again so that there is no gap between the matrix and the cutting. finally, find a cool and ventilated place, remember to check it every day, spray and moisturize, and it will take root in a month or so. (remember to report to me when it takes root)

In addition, I would like to share with you a funny story about buying hydrangeas: some time ago, when I was trying to buy some hydrangeas in online stores, I came across a bad comment, and I laughed at that time.

The thing is, there was a customer who bought two pots of potted hydrangeas last winter. When the courier came home to open them, he found that they were two pots of dead branches. He was angry on the spot and felt that he had been deceived. So he broke the branches one by one, and took a picture to send it to the seller to ask for a statement. Finally, he angrily gave a bad comment, which is the following pot:

I know I don't smile very well, and I can imagine that the merchants must be angry enough, but there is nothing they can do about it!

It's hard to say? Flower growers all know that hydrangea leaves will fall in winter, so it is not surprising to receive bare branches when buying them in winter, because as long as the temperature is right, it will sprout new leaves.

Therefore, when we like a flower, we should try to learn more about its growth habits, what environment, what soil, whether we like sunshine and water and fertilizer, as well as the state of each season, and so on, so that similar jokes will not be made.
