"A very important part of life education is to pay attention to the interaction between people and the environment," says Chang Huan-chih, headmaster of Samsung Junior High School, enthusiastically. Being a teacher is something he is interested in, not just a living job. Eight years ago, he launched the "Life Education Exploration and experience course" program in Ilan, holding activities such as cycling, wave climbing, tree climbing, river tracing, rope walking, canoe, and paintball every year, ranging from planning content to applying for funds. allow junior high school and primary school throughout the county to sign up freely.

The amount of life exploration can slowly accumulate. Over the past eight years, teachers and students who have participated in activities have spread to 100 schools in the county, and popular activities are almost "killed in seconds" as soon as they are announced. On this basis, as the surfing Association of the Republic of China and the Ilan Youth Mission volunteered to provide teacher assistance this year, Zhang decided to organize a larger-scale surfing course, setting a record for the first time in the history of Ilan education. A total of 15 schools have incorporated surfing skills and water safety knowledge into the formal curriculum.

"I encourage children to look out, hoping to activate their different functions and possibilities through outdoor courses." Zhang Yizhi, who is also a child of Ilan, says that at least 15 schools will benefit this year, which is a start, and if it continues to be held after that, more people will be able to participate.
