This feeling is like the process of raising a child, and eventually your efforts will be richly rewarded.

Petunia, a perennial herb, is often cultivated in 2012, 20 Mel 45 cm high; the stem is creeping and covered with sticky pilose; the leaves are soft, the flowers are solitary, funnel-shaped, very beautiful, flowering from April to December, and the seeds are fine. The pelleted seeds bought online are better and easy to succeed.

It takes about a hundred days from sowing to flowering. Petunia like warm and sunny environments. Not resistant to frost, afraid of rain and waterlogging. The suitable temperature for its growth is 13-18 ℃, and the winter temperature is 4-10 ℃. If the temperature is lower than 4 ℃, the plant growth stops. It can withstand high temperature of more than 35 ℃ in summer. During the peak growth period in summer, sufficient water is needed, especially in the summer high temperature season, it should be watered in the morning and late to keep the basin soil moist.

I found an article from the Internet. Let's study it together.

Today, we prepare a set of petunia planting steps from sowing to flowering for you who love cows, which is definitely helpful to you who are looking forward to raising a good hand. Before, I saw that many students began to sow seeds in February or March. If there is no heating, I think it is too hasty.

According to my experience of sowing many times, 28-30 degrees is the fastest to germinate, the germination rate is high, and the seedling stage grows strong. For Guangdong, April and May are the golden season for sowing. Some students asked, are you not afraid of cow difficulty summer if it is broadcast so late? It is true that the cattle in the New year are difficult in summer, but as long as the cattle sown in that year are watered enough, it will not be a problem to spend the summer.

In view of the fact that the previous record of sowing is not detailed enough, this time I specially filmed each step so that you can learn from it. This is only my personal practice, just for your reference!

Step 1: fill (actually the first step is to label the flowerpot)

The soil is the seedling peat. I like to fill it and press it with my hands. I crush the large piece of soil and throw it unbreakable to the bottom of the next basin.

Step 2: wet the basin soil with carbendazim (50% active ingredient, diluted 800 times) first.

In this way, dripping at the top and soaking at the bottom can ensure that the soil is soaked.

Never soak the dry soil directly in the water, it will be knocked over (the painful experience of cats). Soak it for a day and a night, pick it up the next day, dry it for two or three hours, and water it again before sowing, so you don't have to worry about what damage carbendazim does to the seeds.

I had been paying attention to the weather forecast before, and finally, I saw that the highest temperature was above 25 degrees since April 6, and it was going higher day by day. So resolutely decided that 2011 spring sowing, scheduled for April 6! (this time I bought a total of 25 seeds and sowed them twice, because I have to keep birds under siege at the seedling stage. I can't put too many at a time.) scoop up a seed and put it on the soil surface with a small spoon. (the soil surface has been ploughed out with a small spoon before sowing, so that the soil surface will not be potholed, so as to ensure that the seedlings can take root better after germination. if you use the seedling block, you can omit the steps of filling the soil above. However, I personally hate seedling blocks and would rather spend more time filling the soil myself.

Pour some water into the box, and the water level is about half a centimeter in the bottom of the basin. In this way, I no longer need to soak the basin to replenish the water in the sowing process.

Put the lid on the bright astigmatism. There is no need to sun up the seeds before they germinate.

Of the three exposed yesterday, two have opened their cotyledons and the other has not taken off their hats. I was cheap and overestimated my skills. I pulled it out and wanted to manually take off its hat and tuck it back in. Who knows accidentally fell to the ground, how can not find, sacrificed one (but this seedling does not look very strong, it is not a pity. However, we must not learn such rude behavior and low-level mistakes. At this point, nine have officially sprouted (including 10 sacrifices and 13 sowing 10).

Add a net to prevent birds from stealing vegetables:

In order to let the seedling grow faster, fill the light with lights at night (turn off the lights at 12:00, so that the seedlings have a good night's sleep), hehe, this step does not have to be learned. Anyway, if there is a light, it will not be illuminated.

Management of light and moisture after germination:

As soon as the seedlings sprouted, they took out the seedling box and put it in another box without a lid. during the day, the bottom of the basin was soaked in water, about half a centimeter. Take the rooftop to bask in the sun in the morning and evening, and bring back the glass-roofed terrace on the next floor at noon. In this way, the seedlings can be exposed to the direct sun, and there is a layer of glass without being exposed too much (to put it simply, the soft sun in the morning and evening can be relieved, and the exposure at noon should be avoided). Pour the water out a little in the evening, but there is still water at the bottom of the box, but the bottom of the basin is no longer flooded. Add water again the next morning until the bottom of the basin is soaked in half a centimeter. Basking in the sun must have an adequate water supply, otherwise basking in the sun without providing water is tantamount to suicide. Since the basin soil has never been dry, there is no soaking soil block that will float.

If it is more difficult to take care of when you are not at home during the day, I think it is also a good choice to use plant lights to supplement the light.

Moreover, sometimes even if you can bask in the sun, but the light does not come from the top of your head, but through the window, the seedlings will grow in vain. And with the lamp, you can put it directly on the top of Miao's head, so you won't be afraid of growing.
