Illustration of Root cutting technique of Pinus elliottii
Dear friends, following the last article "Picture of softwood and hardwood cuttage techniques of Luohan pine", the editor went on to discuss the root cutting technique of Luohansong cuttage with potted friends today. Originally, the editor wanted to share this method together in the last article, but it is too long, and it is not easy for beginners to "digest" so many technical points. So the editor will post the technical illustration of Luo Hansong's root insertion separately today.
Next, let's get down to business:
1. First of all, we need to cut a section of tree roots with many roots as the basic material for the root insertion of Luohansong.
2. Apply some germicides, such as erythromycin ointment, to the cut section of the root to prevent germs from invading the wound.
3. Comb and straighten out the small roots of the roots, and you can use cotton thread to wind around the periphery, so that the roots will not be hurt, and the absorption of the roots will not be affected. More importantly, over a long time, the cotton thread will rot by itself.
4. Plant the tied roots into the flowerpot. Because the root system is relatively long, you can use the middle part of the mineral water bottle to surround the root system and use rotten leaf soil as basin soil; the middle part of the mineral water bottle is filled with river sand and the top is covered with moss to moisturize.
5. Place the planted roots in a large foam box. Before that, it is recommended to cover the bottom of the foam box with soil about 5 centimeters thick. This can not only achieve the role of heat preservation, but also play the purpose of moisturizing.
6. The next step is to water the plant. Watering is divided into two steps: one is to pour root water, which can pour the rooting water + carbendazim solution that has been soaked before into the basin; the other is to spray water, which can be sprayed into the foam basin with rooting water and carbendazim solution.
7. After watering, cover the foam basin with a glass plate, but leave a few gaps around to facilitate ventilation.
8. The next thing that needs to be done is maintenance and management. It is recommended to remove the glass plate spray once every morning after the temperature increases to replenish water; in summer high temperature weather, in addition to the need to open the glass plate, but also need proper shade.
This is the process of inserting the root of Luohansong. Have you all learned it? I hope you can master the essentials through the diagram.
