The method of propagation of Anthurium andraeanum-graphic teaching of Anthurium andraeanum
Anthurium andraeanum has a long flowering period, bright color and flame-like flower core. As a family potted plant, it can not only decorate the space, but also adjust indoor air humidity, absorb harmful substances in the air, and keep people relaxed and happy all the time.
Anthurium andraeanum can be propagated not only by sowing, cutting, and tissue culture, but also by ramets. Today, the editor will tell you about the methods of plantlet propagation of Anthurium andraeanum. The main points of operation are as follows:
1. Ramet timing
For the ramet timing of Anthurium andraeanum, we need to grasp it from two aspects: time and leaf age.
According to the time: the ramet time of Anthurium andraeanum is suitable in spring and autumn, because the temperature in spring and autumn is relatively mild and the weather is too cool; summer and winter are not suitable for ramets because the temperature is too high or too low. But if the plant is divided in a greenhouse, it can be done in four seasons.
According to the leaf age: in general, when the offspring of the plant grows 4-5 leaves, it is more suitable for ramet, which is more conducive to the normal growth of the mother plant and daughter plant. If the daughter plant is too small, the growth after the ramet is very slow; if the daughter plant is too large, it is bound to affect the growth of the mother plant.
2. Ramet preparation
The ramet of Anthurium andraeanum needs to be prepared in advance so that it can get twice the result with half the effort and be at ease in the process of ramet.
Prepare soil: before dividing Anthurium andraeanum, we should first prepare the culture soil and flowerpot for it. Since Anthurium andraeanum likes loose and breathable soil, it is recommended to match it with 2 parts of peat and 1 part of perlite, and then disinfect it with carbendazim.
Mother plant selection: because the germination ability of Anthurium andraeanum of small varieties is stronger than that of large varieties, and it is easier to germinate lateral branches, so ramet propagation is more conducive to survival. Of course, lateral buds with strong growth and air roots should be selected for both large and small varieties.
3. Ramet process
Although the process of Anthurium andraeanum ramet is relatively simple, in order to improve the success rate of ramet and the survival rate after ramet, we should not only be careful, but also strictly follow the operation flow.
The main results are as follows: 1) first select the mother plant that needs to be isolated, and then use the hand to separate the daughter plant from the mother plant in an appropriate position, and the breaking position is the place where the daughter plant needs to be separated from the mother plant.
2) be careful when dividing plants so as not to cause damage to mother and daughter plants. If the offspring can not be easily separated from the parent plant by hand, do not drag; then you can use a knife to assist, gently cut the plant in the right position, so that the daughter plant and the mother plant separate.
3) after all the daughter strains were successfully isolated from the mother strain, all the daughter strains were put into a large container containing disinfectant for disinfection. All roots need to be submerged in disinfectant to ensure that all roots are disinfected.
4) then take out the plants and divide them into several parts and transplant them in pots. Note that the number of sub-plants implanted together in each flowerpot should not be too large, just moderate according to the size of the flowerpot.
Anthurium andraeanum likes a warm, humid but well-drained growth environment, which is neither cold-resistant nor drought-resistant, and is afraid of sun exposure, so we can take appropriate maintenance and management methods in view of these characteristics. it will soon be able to make the potted Anthurium in the home blossom and flourish.
