Air pineapple, the shape is as elegant as the name, and the plants are all exposed in the air, shaped like a pineapple. Its unique feature is that this plant lives and grows completely in the air, and does not rely on the root system to absorb nutrients and water, but through the leaves to achieve the purpose of breathing and absorption, thus ensuring the normal growth of the plant.

Putting the air pineapple in indoor maintenance can not only increase the indoor mystery, but also decorate the indoor environment and purify the indoor air. So how can such an elegant plant be sown through seeds? Don't worry, today the editor will explain the operation steps of sowing in detail for you.

1. Prepare materials

Before sowing, you first need to prepare sowing materials, mainly air pineapple seeds, dried water moss, and glass containers with no holes at the bottom.

2. Lay the moss

Take the prepared dry water moss out of the bag and spread it in a glass container. Be careful not to soak for the time being.

3. Evenly sow seeds

Take out the seeds of the air pineapple, then disperse the seeds that are glued together, and then spread the seeds evenly over the dry water moss in a glass container.

4. Soak in water

It is recommended to spray the container with water so that the seeds will sink into the water moss with the current until the amount of water can be submerged to a moss-like depth. Then put a lid on the glass container to ensure that the seeds can germinate under sufficient humidity and proper conditions.

5. Temperature control

Due to the high temperature requirement of air pineapple sowing, it is recommended that the temperature should be kept between 25-29 ℃ in daytime and 13-16 ℃ at night. Of course, there are many ways to regulate the temperature, which will not be introduced here.

6. Humidity control

If you are growing seeds indoors, you need to cover the glass container, but keep an air vent to avoid sealing, and then place the glass container in a place that can receive light for maintenance. At the initial stage of sowing, it is necessary to ensure that the humidity in the container reaches 90%; when the seeds germinate, the humidity should be kept at 50% 60%.

7. Watering and spraying

During the management period, watering seeds is skillful, and flood watering should be avoided. Spray can be used to replenish water, which not only rehydrates the seeds, but also creates humidity suitable for seed germination.

8. Sprout growth

After the above operation, the seed sprouting can be seen in about 1 month. At this time, it still needs to grow in a glass container, and the young leaves will not be transplanted to other places for maintenance and management until the young leaves appear in pairs.
