How does Magnolia reproduce?
Magnolia lanceolata is a perennial evergreen herb, belonging to tufted genera, with short and fleshy roots and mostly growing in an oblique way. The leaves of this variety have yellow-white stripes arranged longitudinally in the middle, white stolons grow in the leaf axils, and bend and droop, and how long there are aerial root shoots at the end of the branches, which can be cut off and planted separately.
The benefits of Magnolia are self-evident, but how does this plant reproduce? Magnolia lanceolata is mostly propagated in the way of ramet, which can be combined with changing pots. Generally, the young plants can be separated from the clumpy old plants around March in spring, and then cultivated and planted. Or cut off the tender plants from the stolon branches for cultivation, and it is also easy to feed them.
In addition to using ramet propagation, sometimes we also use cutting to cultivate new plants. Cutting activities should be carried out during the growing season, usually cutting off the shoots with uniform roots at the end of the stolon branches and then implanting them into the flowerpot. The method is very simple, as long as a little later management, it can be raised very well.
However, whether it is propagated by ramet or cutting, do not let the newly planted young plants receive too much light, especially need to avoid direct light, so as not to affect the survival of the plant. It is suggested that it should be placed in a semi-shaded and ventilated place, and the new plant can be transferred to the normal maintenance and management procedure after the new plant germinates and returns to normal growth.
Cymbidium is a kind of plant with strong vitality, which is propagated by ramet and cuttage, and young plants can be cultivated by sowing in rare times. If it is cultivated by sowing, there is no need to take special care of it in conservation and management, but it often takes a lot of time to develop it into an ornamental adult plant, so it is generally not propagated and cultivated by sowing.
