Potted plants full of stars have a very high ornamental value, especially in the flowering season, flowers together, seen from afar like a beautiful big bouquet. And the whole sky star can breed seedlings by sowing, so how to plant the seeds? Today, the editor will share with you the method of sowing seeds in the sky.

The whole sky star is afraid of heat during the growing period, and the sowing temperature should be kept at 15-20 ℃ in order to germinate smoothly, so it is mostly sown in the spring and autumn season. The best time to sow seeds is often in the middle to late autumn, when the temperature is the most suitable. Let's take a look at the sowing process of the stars.

I. selection of varieties

Because we are potted and cultivated all over the sky, and we adopt the way of sowing to breed seedlings, we generally choose shorter varieties, such as gypsies. The seedlings produced by sowing and breeding in this way are more suitable for potted planting and are more ornamental.

2. Prepare soil

The high-quality soil environment will be more conducive to the germination and growth of the seeds, so we need to allocate the soil reasonably according to the growth habits. And before sowing, the prepared soil needs to be disinfected and sterilized in advance, which can be stir-fried in an iron pan or exposed in strong light, often for the purpose of high-temperature antivirus.

Third, sowing process

First of all, the soil that has been disinfected and sterilized, such as peat soil mixed substrate, is first soaked with watering, and the seeds can only be sowed under the condition of ensuring that the soil has a suitable humidity. Because if the seeds are sown before watering, the seeds are likely to be partially concentrated or exposed to the topsoil due to the failure to control the rhythm of watering.

After the completion of sowing, need to cover a layer of fine soil in time, while doing a good shade measures, the original generally put it in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance, and then wait for it to germinate.

Fourth, cover the film

As the sowing is carried out in the middle and late autumn, in order for the seeds to germinate smoothly, it is usually necessary to cover them with a film to keep them warm and humid. Of course, it is recommended to poke a few small holes in the film during germination, which is more conducive to the exchange of air, thus better promoting the germination and growth of seeds.

5. Transplanting in pot

After the seedlings emerge smoothly and the seedlings grow stably, they can wait for the opportunity to transplant in the pot. However, the star in the basin is relatively fragile, prone to the phenomenon of death, so it is recommended to transplant with soil, which is more conducive to survival. And watering after transplanting also needs to be careful, must not water the seedlings directly, otherwise it is easy to wash down the seedlings, thus affecting survival and growth.

In the later stage of management, watering should adopt the principle of "dry and thoroughly irrigated", especially after the end of seedling stage should be properly controlled. With the continuous growth of potted plants, the phenomenon of overgrowth often occurs, so it is necessary to calculate the distance between seedlings before potting to avoid crowding due to too close distance, so it is necessary to take timely measures to add soil and cover soil during the growing period.
