Some time ago potted balsamina was naughty chicken to peck off, originally to throw it away, but at first glance, pecked off branches are still relatively robust. Simply use it for cuttage, did not expect that after a week, the lower end of the branch actually grew about 2 cm long roots. It's like a willow tree planted by accident!

It can be seen that impatiens branches can survive. Since impatiens can be cuttings, then we usually reproduce impatiens seedlings, why not try cutting it? Below, Xiaobian combined with his own practice, will now share the cutting method of Impatiens to everyone.

1. Choose a basin

The flowerpot used for cutting Impatiens can be determined according to your own preferences, but the flowerpot is required to have good permeability, and the excess water can be discharged smoothly after watering. However, as a cuttage pot, we can use a seedling tray to assist in the completion of the diameter of about 10 cm is appropriate.

2. Soil mixing

The substrate used for impatiens cuttings should be fertile, loose and permeable. vermiculite, sawdust and peat soil can be mixed according to the ratio of 3:3:4. After mixing and disinfection, they can be used as seedling substrate. Then pour it into a nursery tray.

3. Cutting

Cuttings are naturally indispensable to the protagonist-cuttings, and the branches used to make cuttings should grow strong enough, so that they are more conducive to survival. First of all, cut strong branches from the mother plant, and ensure that the branches have more than 3 nodes, which is the key to ensure bud and leaf growth after rooting.

4. Cutting

Cuttage process should be cautious, will be prepared to insert the cuttings gently into the moist seedling substrate, the original as far as possible do not cause secondary damage to the cuttings, otherwise it will affect survival. With the help of a tool, you can poke a hole of appropriate size in the culture soil, then insert the cuttings gently into it and compact the soil slightly.

5, watering

After completion of cuttage, water in time to keep the soil moist. Then spray with chlorothalonil diluent, usually once every half hour, so as to ensure that the leaves have a certain humidity, but the spray also needs to be controlled well, and it is not suitable to let the water flow under the leaves. If everything goes smoothly, it will take about a week or two to take root and survive.

6, picking

When the cuttings take root and germinate and grow to about 10 cm high, we need to carry out the first topping. It is mainly to remove the growth point of the top tip and retain 2-3 nodes to promote the germination of more lateral branches. By applying this method many times, the plant can grow fuller. After about 10 weeks, the crown width of 30-50 cm can be formed, and the potted plants are basically finalized.
