Many people like to raise rich bamboo in water, and compared with potted bamboo cultivated in soil, maintenance and management is simpler and cleaner, and it also has high ornamental value. However, based on the rich levels of planting and breeding experience of different basin friends, the rich and noble bamboos raised by different families often have their own characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and ornamental effects are also different.

For the rich bamboo that has just been bought from the flower market, it often does not sprout roots, and the rich bamboo is relatively easy to feed. So usually we only need to cut off some leaves to reduce nutrient consumption before we can insert into a container containing water for water culture. However, sometimes we hope to dig out the plants from the previous soil culture for water culture, and there will naturally be a large number of roots. Because there are too many roots, it is not so convenient to raise them with water, so we need to trim them properly. So, how to cut the roots of rich bamboo raised by water?

In order to facilitate water culture, we first need to cut off the roots of rich bamboo, but we need to be careful when pruning, the principle is not to cut off the main root as much as possible, but to cut off a large number of fibrous roots. In this way, it is easier for water to sprout new roots, which is more conducive to survival and growth. Of course, we can also cut off all the roots, including the main roots.

Although, using this method can also feed the rich bamboo water, the original needs to go through the process of sprouting new roots. If the rich bamboo without a main root is raised in water, it is usually more difficult to sprout new roots and takes longer. Now, let's take a look at the operation first.

1. First of all, wash the roots of rich bamboo dug out from the basin soil with clean water. Then use the knife to cut the base of the rich bamboo main rod into a beveled surface, pay attention to the knife edge to be smooth, the force to be uniform, the correct one-step cut in place. In this way, the cut cross section will have a larger area, contact with more water and nutrients in the container, and more conducive to absorption, germination and growth.

2. After about 3-4 days, we need to change the water for the first time, and clean water is suitable. Of course, in order to avoid the breeding of bacteria and diseases in the water, you can put a few small pieces of charcoal in the water, which can play the role of anticorrosion and avoid the breeding of bacteria in the water.

3. For more than a week, try not to move the container with rich bamboo, and do not change the direction of light. After about half a month, we can see the white fibrous root in the wound of water-raised rich bamboo-the new root of rich bamboo.

4. After the water-raised rich bamboo grows new roots smoothly, we do not have to rush to change its water, and it is not easy to change water, because the plant has adapted to the existing water environment, and changing water too frequently can easily cause yellow leaves or plant wilt. It is usually necessary to wait until a large number of water cups in the container are evaporated and consumed, and then water can be added and replenished properly.

It should be noted that the rich bamboo, which originally grew in the potted soil, will be raised in water after root cutting, which is equivalent to replanting the plant. However, this planting process is different from the process of changing pots and soil. Therefore, we need to do well every link and every detail in the conversion process from soil planting to aquaculture. Only in this way can we promote the smooth germination and rooting of rich bamboo cultured in water, and can water culture be successful.
