How long does it take for rose to propagate under high pressure?
Rose planted in the ground often produces a lot of bamboo shoots. In spring, we can transplant the rose into a flowerpot. Then let it grow in the basin for a year, and when the bamboo shoots grow to 2 cm thick, we can cut off the excess branches and cultivate them under high pressure to form tall poles to graft to improve new varieties.
In general, spring is the most suitable for high-pressure propagation, because the branches of rose are easier to peel in spring. First of all, choose a suitable position for the branch, cut a circle at a certain distance, and then peel off the middle cortex.
The cambium of the rose has Lignification under the skin, and the depth of the original cut is that it is better to just produce Lignification. Then peel off the cortex bit by bit. Be sure to scrape off the green cambium inside and expose the white part. Otherwise, part of the wound will only form callus and will not take root.
Next, find a disposable plastic cup, cut a hole in the outer wall and bottom, and pass the finished branch through the break. Then use transparent tape to wrap the cracks in the cup slightly to secure the branches and the cup. Finally, put on a plastic bag.
Note that the cut must be in the re-cut or near the top of the cup. Then we fill the cup with matrix and pay attention to the position of girdling on the branches. At the same time, gently compact the filled soil to make sure the branches are in the middle of the cup. After filling the soil, water it once, wrap the plastic bags and seal them all.
After doing the above, stick the plastic bag with transparent tape to stabilize the plastic bag. Don't let the plastic bag fall off naturally. At the same time, pay attention to observe when the soil inside becomes dry, then open an opening in the plastic bag, and then supply water properly. Usually as long as the proper temperature and humidity are maintained for a month, the ring peeling of the branch will take root.
