There are many propagation methods of rose, among which the efficiency of cutting and high pressure cultivation is relatively higher, and the survival rate is also higher. However, sometimes we will find that whether it is the cutting rose or the high-pressure ring-peeled rose, we can only see the callus, but not take root. So in this case, how is it that the rose only grows healing tissue and does not take root?

Through the study, it is found that no matter the rose cultivated by cutting or high pressure only grows healing tissue but does not take root, one of the most key factors is that we do not use rooting agent in the process of operation. Therefore, whether it is cutting or high-pressure ring peeling, although the callus can grow smoothly, after all, the plant has the function of self-repair.

Mainly due to the non-directional differentiation of cells in plants, the original callus can be induced into roots in the environment of humid matrix, high air humidity and poor light, but the induction is not 100% successful. Those who succeed in induction will naturally form roots, while those who fail in induction will not be able to become roots. Therefore, do not use rooting agents, generally only grow a large number of tissues and can not successfully develop into roots. So, what if the roses that are cut or girdled do not take root?

If it is a rose cultivated by high-pressure ring peeling, we can cut it off and cuttage it directly, which usually works. But what if it is the rose cultivated by cuttings? Then we can use the rooting agent to make it play a role at this time.

In this case, we first dilute the rooting agent into a solution according to a certain proportion, and then pour it into the soil of the cutting rose. Of course, we can also spray some liquid fertilizer on the cuttings at this time. In that case, the part of the cuttage in the soil will slowly grow roots.

Of course, there is another factor, which is that the cambium on the branch is not removed during the girdling. Therefore, after peeling off the cortex of the branch, we should use a knife to scrape off this layer of white outside the wooden part. If it is not scraped clean, the upper cambium will produce callus and finally connect the cortex at both ends of the wound, resulting in no rooting.

So, in order to make rose seedlings take root smoothly by cutting and high-pressure ring peeling, the following conditions need to be met:

1. We must remember to use rooting agents before cutting or girdling.

2. If the wound healing tissue appears in cutting or ring peeling, we can use rooting agent to make it easy to irrigate or soak.

3. If the cuttings or high-pressure ring-peeled seedlings take root, but do not sprout, we can spray some water-soluble fertilizer on them at this time. Let it continue to accumulate nutrients and energy, so that it can not only grow roots, but also sprout.
