How to cuttage and propagate rich trees

Rich trees can generally breed seedlings by means of sowing, cutting, grafting and so on. However, considering the convenience of family cultivation, cuttings are usually adopted. The cutting of the rich tree can not only be induced to take root by hydroponic culture before cutting, but also can be directly rooted in vermiculite and then transplanted into the flowerpot. 1. Rooting induced by water insertion

First of all, we use sterilized scissors to cut a sturdy semi-lignified branch from the wealth tree as water cuttings, and the length should be controlled at about 10 cm. It is also suggested that only the top young leaves and two old leaves should be kept on the cuttings, and all the other leaves should be removed.

Next, the cuttings will be made to enter and leave directly into the container containing clear water, during which time keep changing the water every 3 days. And do not add any nutrient solution or fertilizer to the container during water insertion, just cultivate it with clean water.

Second, cutting in vermiculite

If we choose to cut in vermiculite, we can insert the cuttings directly into vermiculite. Of course, we can also use river sand to achieve. It should be noted that in order to promote rooting, we can apply some rooting agent to the cut at the base of the cuttings, and then insert it into vermiculite with a depth of about 3 cm.

After the cuttage is finished, we should water it once in time to ensure that there is the humidity needed for the cuttings to grow in the vermiculite, and then put it in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance. If all goes well, the cuttings can take root in at most a month. When the cuttings take root and survive, we can choose to transplant the cuttings into the flowerpot at an appropriate time.

However, no matter which method is adopted, the cuttings should be placed in a cool and ventilated place for at least 1 week to promote the plant to take the pot smoothly. When the root system of the plant returns to normal growth and new buds and leaves germinate, we can manage it according to the normal maintenance method.
