In recent years, more and more local-based designs have been born in Japan. Whether it is the branding of local specialties or various plans for tourism promotion, design has become an increasingly important role in adding added value.

This type of design, known as "Local Design/ local design", has attracted more and more attention in Japanese design circles. The common feature is that they try their best to excavate the unique personality of the place, take the design as a medium, and convey it to the public in an easy-to-understand way.

And if there is a symbolic ancestor of local design, it is probably Mei Yuan.
